Why The Anger That Has Lifted Sanders and Trump Is Here to Stay
Fortune Magazine ^ | May 26, 2016 | Geoff Colvin

A substantial number of voters think they’ve been cut out of America’s implicit economic deal.

The “anger” hypothesis for explaining the rise of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders has become the conventional one, and this is a rare occasion when I believe the conventional view is right. Recent news stories show why the Trump-Sanders phenomenon will not be fleeting.

The Fed reported on Wednesday that nearly half of Americans would have trouble meeting an unexpected $400 expense. In addition, about one-fifth of Americans were working two or more jobs simultaneously last year, and about one-third have no retirement savings or pension. Not a bright picture....

Because the country has been overrun by greedy, lustful traitorous meddlers and they are still breathing?

BS; the anger that brought Self-Loathing Sanders is that Obama was too much of a socialist and not enough of a pure Communist.

The anger that got us Trump is the sickness people have of boys going into girls bathrooms, the demonization of white people, the demonization of Jewish people (by anti-Zionists), the promotion of Muslimism, the dishonour of American heritage (like what Hussein did to Andrew Jackson, etc.), allowing open borders, you name it.

Because the country is run by an oligarchy of the arrogant and incompetent, who actually think they are superior to the rest of us. That is why.

It seems like everything you post (a lot) has negative implication forTrump. People who support him must be angry, must be indistinguishable from Sanders supporters.

Don’t you ever get tired of being a drag?

That’s probably because you’re looking for a conspiracy.

No. I’m not the only FReeper that notices your relentless negativity.

I could understand if you had a preference for some other candidate, but if that were the case you’d occasionally say something positive about so done.

I think you just love to come on Free Republic and see if you can drum up some bad news.

Usually, it isn’t even bad news but you seem to hope it is.

“Don’t you ever get tired of being a drag?”

Suggest you stop wasting your time with 2ndDivisionVet. He’s a Cruz-terd of the highest order and hates Trump with a passion. He would prefer to see Hillary elected over Trump and allow her and Billy to further destroy this nation than to see Trump elected POTUS.

He’s a dried-up, wannabe douche. Don’t waste your time or energy on him.

I’m so tired of hearing #neverTrumps theories about why people support Trump. It can’t be rational, therefore it must be hate, anger, or ignorance.

I support Trump because I like him. I like how he thinks and I like how he fights. I like his situational awareness.

I am a conservative who has witnessed so many conservative candidates fail because they think their challenge is to do a better job of explaining their positions.

Unfortunately, their leftist opponents are not seeking truth but rather winning votes. A fair debate of ideas is not at all what is going on.

Leftists say the most vile things about conservatives; that they are greedy warmongering racists who want to push granny off the cliff.

Republicans, conservatives (except Reagan) are too chicken to fight back until Trump.

As Gingrich said, Trump can do more damage to the left tha anyone since RR.

I’m totally into this.

It is just remarkable to me that almost 50% of all Americans do not have access to $400 without borrowing the money. Less than $400 in savings is below poverty.

I think I have more than that in a sock drawer. I know I have more than that in change and at least $100 in One Dollar bills that I keep in a bundle to pay the never ending one, two and five dollar nonsense for school like Pizza day and raffle tickets.

No. it is true, both sides are angry. Both sides have been lied to repeatedly by politicians who amount to the same side of the same coin. Look at the Black population. Yes, they’ll vote like rented mules for Hillary, but not all of them. Many have observed the game, and are sick of the game. They don’t like Hillary, but they just can’t vote for a Republican cause the voices of Jesse and Al are ringin in their ears. Nonetheless, they know something’s wrong. It’s as if, I don’t know, politicians are trying to divide the whole country.

And it’s working. Sanders is a fool, but he’s not the problem. He also knows that Trump is the solution.

I think 2ndDivisonVet was very much, for Ted Cruz.

That is unquestioned.

However other than his being completely in the tank for Ted Cruz, he seems like a bright, aware, and very patriotic American and I completely support him.

Except for this one thing about Ted Cruz. But a lot of people down in Texas were for Cruz. That’s just the way it was.

I am glad he is back. I am glad the election went to Trump (because frankly I thought Cruz would have been womped in the general election)

But I have zero problem with 2ndDivisonVet.

None whatsoever. I’m very glad he’s on posting once again.
