I would not put ANYTHING past Cruz. And the suggestions that some here have advanced that he be given a senior position in the Trump Administration or a SCOTUS nomination, are cause for serious reflecton. I think Trump is way too smart to put ANY trust in Cruz at the outset. Let him show the world by his actions that he’s a quality Senator who works effectively with the new administration as a first step. Trump doesn’t need to have anyone whom he has to watch over his shoulder.

I know it got very nasty. It became like an infectious sore that kept on being picked on. I got tired of it and would stay away for a while but always checked in. I saw some of your arguments and I agree with you that some should not be allowed back.
Now that we are all on the Trump Train, I do still hope some do come back. Others I wouldn’t miss.

Today Rush gave praise to Cruz and his supporters..without trashing Trump. Dittos Rush.
I hate the fact there was so much bad blood...and the lasting effects. I switched support from Cruz to Trump for basically one reason...Trump has the personality to make some big changes..Cruz cannot. That doesnt mean Cruz is wrong so dont read into that.
Trump isnt a conservative by most measures but hopefully he will surround himself with the best minds with conservative values.

I would say 75% of the #NeverTrump bluster was just that, bluster.

They will quietly switch over to #NeverHillary and vote for trump in November. The rest are too insignificant to matter and will be offset by all the Reagan Democrats who will vote for trump.

Now that we all have quit beating the tar out of each other, we will catch our collective breaths and start in on Hillary.

Even with Trump as the GOP nominee, the convention will be the venue for fights over the party platform, patronage, and national TV exposure. Those with the most delegates will get more of what they want.

For example, Cruz could bolster his national standing through a prime time speech to the convention. Having a large bloc of loyal delegates puts Cruz in the position to demand such a concession from the Trump camp. Otherwise, Cruz will be lucky to be able to finagle a five minute appearance in the second hour of Fox and Friends.

Unless Cruz agrees to support the nominee, which he currently refuses to do, then he should get zero time. If he does, maybe 5 non-prime minutes. Besides does he have anything meaningful to say at the moment beyond apologizing for his lies?

I never left, I supported Cruz until the end, but now I will support Trump some Cruzers will not jump on board but that is their prerogative and I think it is a mistake.
