Despite suggestions to the contrary, Americans are not willing to get over attacks to their religious liberty, Texas Senator and Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said in an interview with CR.
I dont think the American people are willing to get over our basic liberties. We fought a bloody revolution to protect our religious liberty, Cruz explained. This nation was founded by men and women fleeing religious oppression, and seeking a land where every one of us could seek out and worship God almighty with all of our hearts, minds and souls, free of the government getting in the way.

If it hasn’t passed, it hasn’t been implemented. If it hasn’t been implemented, it can’t be destructive. But don’t let Logic 101 keep you from lying about it.

I dont mind Bible Thumpers, its the holier than thou I cant stand.
I agree. And some history is in order here, way back in Iowa, Cruz's campaign could easily have been mistaken for an old time religious tent revival, with Ted himself calling for everyone to "put on the full armor of God", and to "raise up and energize the Body of Christ" and all sorts of evangelistic appeals to the religious minded of the Iowa electorate.
Fast forward to New Hampshire. Cruz abandoned all of that religious talk, apparently didn't need all of the armor, nor did he need to raise up the Body of Christ, and guess what? Teddy boy lost New Hampshire.
And then in the next contest, in that State where the Cruzers told us would surely be Ted's because of THEIR evangelistic base, Ted didn't win even ONE county, Rubio won 3 and Trump won the rest.
God's Word says that He wants us to be either 'hot' or 'cold' not 'lukewarm' and that is why I believe that Cruz got spanked in New Hampshire and then gobsmacked in South Carolina, God chose to smite him for using His Name for crass political purposes.
But just like any religious cult figure, Cruz' followers believe (like the mad prophet Glenn Beck) that Cruz is on (cue Blues Brothers) "a mission from God".
Here's a clue:
HE AIN'T.

That’s not sufficient. You need to read the entire document to understand the context for her comments. It’s not as nefarious as the John Birch Society and others would have us believe.
Sure, the CFR promotes some bad stuff. This really wasn’t bad. It simply encouraged security-related cooperation between the US, Canada, and Mexico.

So.....do you think Americans should just "get over" their reluctance to climb on the LGBT train, like Kasich says?
I think Americans need to take any and every homosexual and shove 'em back in the closet where they belong. God's Word says that homosexuality is an "abomination", and while I'm certainly not going to suggest going total-ISIS on them and killing them in cages or throwing them off the tops of buildings, I will say that they should have no more and no less of the same Constitutional civil liberties that We The Majority Of Americans enjoy. They are not 'privileged' and they should not expect to be treated that way.
What homosexuals do in the privacy of their bedrooms is between them and God. And they WILL answer to God for their actions. As to what God's judgment will be, that is way above my paygrade.
As for Kasich?
He's doing what candidates in last place do, he's pandering to any and every special interest group (in this case, homosexuals) in hopes of pulling some kind of rabbit out of the hat to save his campaign. Kasich is done, and has been done, mathematically eliminated quite a while ago, and to his credit Ted Cruz called upon Kasich to drop out of the race.
I'm looking forward to Cruz taking his own advice after HE is mathematically eliminated by the end of this month.
Of course it could well turn out that Cruz is just another two-faced hypocrite.

Colorado made the decision to lock the voters out of the system last August IIRC.
And you can be sure that Manafort knows how delegate counting works.

Cruz says our country was founded by men and women fleeing religious oppression. True fact....
And instead of discussing this thread where Kasich tells people to "get over" their religious beliefs......they start posting about TPP or other crap.
So do you guys think American's should just "get over" their reluctance to climb on the LGBT train, like Kasich says?
Exactly right. Our religious liberties are sacrosanct and foundational to any and all other liberties. There was a time when all conservatives would join in support of this matter and condemn Kasich on such a core issue, presidential primary or not.
Those days are long gone in this echo chamber. The Trump Cult could care less about conservatism, with the highest degree of contempt reserved for those who deem religious liberty a high priority.

Thank you for your response, mkjessup. It's very much appreciated.....and pretty similar to my own thoughts on the matter.
Today's media portrays the country as full court press for the LGBT's agenda....so I thought I would ask.... since no one was discussing what Kasich said.
