I can't believe you would imply with a straight face that Donald Trump, the vulgarian, is likable. He is the most detested potential presidential candidate in modern history!

I can't believe you would by implication compare his electability to Ted Cruz knowing as you undoubtedly do Trump's negatives.

“All liberals would make it a crime just to possess, even though it would lead to Civil War II. Go Ted!”

RIGHT you are, and I’m talking RIGHT, not moderate/liberal Republican like Donald is.

Trump doesn’t even have the energy to learn the rules so he can win an election, so I doubt he could last even a small fraction of 21 hours.

I was saying early on, before this got all ugly, that a Trump-Cruz ticket would be fine with me. 12-16 years of those two would still be OK.

While Ted Cruz was arguing cases before the supreme court, Trump was out greasing palms.

FIRST we need Ted Cruz to be our president as ONLY Ted can put this country back together again.

After eight years, I hope he is a justice of SCOTUS.

Donald Trump donated tens of thousands of dollars to anti-2ndA politicians like Schumer, Spitzer, Pelosi, Cuomo, and more. I’m talking about ANDREW Cuomo the very liberal governor who gave New Yorkers the so-called “Safe Act.”

Trump donated tens of thousands of dollars to essentially all New York politicians because he benefits from the business-government interactions in New York. He has to get permits and approvals, and those come more quickly when he can make a phone call to someone who wants to keep him happy. The world should not be that way, but Trump did not create those rules. "Pay to play" and he paid up.

Trump used to be an active liberal, 15 years ago, but I haven't seen any of that since 2002. That's a long time. I prefer Cruz philosophically for his consistent conservatism, but Trump looks like a much better choice than Kasich, Jeb, Christie, Rubio, Hillary, or Bernie.

Donald has a pleasant personality though, except for when he picks on women, including insulting his opponent’s face, making fun of a military man for being captured, or making fun of a journalist with a disability, or leaving his 1st wife to marry his mistress, and leaving his 2nd wife to marry his new mistress, and I just don’t have time to opine the rest. I would be here FOREVER.

Sorry, I like you Liz, but Donald is just too mean and untrustworthy.

This is a good argument for a deal between Trump and Cruz, that would follow this outline:

1) Cruz throws his support behind the Trump nomination and election;

2) In return, Cruz becomes the Solicitor General (AG has likely been promised to Christie already - otherwise, give that to Ted);

3) Cruz gets to select ALL federal judges while he holds that position, present 2 or 3 recommendations for each position to President Trump, and Trump than rubber-stamps one of those people vetted by Cruz;

4) At some point of Cruz’ choosing, Trump nominates him to serve on the Supreme Court. Perhaps Trump and Cruz can convince (the apparently corrupt) Roberts to resign “for health reasons” or “to spend more time with his family” or some such figleaf of a reason, making Cruz the CJ for the next 35-40 years. Oh, and as a benefit, it is pretty much a given that the Senate will approve him - after all, it takes him out of direct involvement in politics, something that the jackasses like Lindsey Grahamnesty dearly want to accomplish.

Cruz’ impact on our legal system would be absolutely immense, something that no person could be ashamed of as the capstone to a lifetime of achievement.

“..- 2nd Amendment is ultimate check against government tyranny. (Jun 2015)..”

I’m picking out this one for now, because Gov. Andrew Cuomo thinks the 2nd A. is for deer hunting, when he told us that we don’t need more than seven bullets to kill a deer.

The very purpose of the second amendment is to remove those who would try to “write it out” with extreme prejudice.

Those leftist justices have to sleep sometimes!

Would trump ever stand up before the world for twenty four hours and denounce the cronyism of the federal government?

Ask him!

“..Ted Cruz is a consistent constitutional conservative”

That’s what I like, that Ted is CONSISTENT, and according to his professor has been that way since college.

While I’m sure they are nice people, I hear so many Trump supporters calling radio shows to say they like Trump because he is a businessesman.

Well so was Herbert Hoover, and he was NOT a great president.

Truth be told, we need both! But each is too stubborn to recognize it and deal with it.

In fact, this Bush alum recalls, “the quickest way for a meeting to end would be for Ted to come in. People would want out of that meeting. People wouldn’t go to a meeting if they knew he would be there. It was his inability to be part of the team. That’s exactly what he was: a big a$$hole.”

"Inability to be part of a team" may well translate into him recognizing that compromising with bad policy is like adding a little sewage to your drinking water, and behaving accordingly.

That only happens if (1) a republican succeeds him or (2) if he appoints himself.

“Trumps spent nearly $50,000 to elect congressional Democrats, they donated only $1,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRSC)....”

more http://dailycaller.com/2015/06/03/donald-trump-donated-heavily-to-democrats-especially-during-election-which-put-reid-and-pelosi-in-power/

As for me, if I were a wealthy businessperson, I would not give a DIME to libDem politicians, just because I have principles.
