The GOP is weak on 2nd amendment. They want to ban open carry at the convention in Ohio. That is stunning to me.
I support the open carry petition; however, the event is held at a private venue, and they have the right to prevent any carry if they so choose.
There are very real security concerns. Presidential contenders have been shot, wounded and killed. Consider Bobby Kennedy and George Wallace. Consider the disrupters that have been at Trump rallies.
Given that this is the Republican convention, the participants are already vetted, so I am not too worried, but the concerns are not completely unfounded.
Well maybe so but fear is why liberals win on this issue.
Not what I was taught when I got my concealed to carry license.
