Like thousands of others, I attended the Donald Trump rally in West Boca on Sunday night. Like many others, I procured a general admission ticket after registering online. Like many others, I used my smartphone to take photos, videos and post on social media during the event, held at a county park.
Unlike nearly all the others, I was confronted with a stark choice by a Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy at 8:40 p.m., while Trump was still speaking: Leaving immediately or "going to jail."
I left.
"Tell him we're trespassing him," a Trump campaign official told the deputy.
The campaign official told me his name was Justin. He would not give me his full name or tell me his position, even though I identified myself and gave him my business card.
"Just Justin," he told me a minute earlier, when he approached me and objected to me taking video of people leaving the rally early, while Trump was still on stage.
"We can do this the easy way or the hard way," Justin told me....

Hanging a SUN Sentinel ID badge around your neck is NOT “just a plain old ordinary American exercising his right to free speech under the First Amendment.”
It is identification of official employment status and is a signal to anyone else that the wearer of this badge mystically has some sort of special privilege over an ordinary American citizen.
You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Pick one, pick the other, but don’t come on with this whining crap because they threw your ass out. They were smart to do it.

The problem is the recent attempts on Trump’s life [trump’s [no pun intended] your right to attend if you are a perceived threat.

So the way I understand it, he is implying Trump’s people don’t want it known people were leaving the DT rally early. I find that hard to believe on the face of it. People come and go at rallies all the time.
I attended a campaign speech for GHW Bush in the late 80s and that is EXACTLY what happened there. The media were on bleachers in the back and that was they’re place to be. His implication is out of bounds
Not to mention that these are RATS taking up seats and interfering with the other party’s political process during their primary. Trump is not speaking to all America; he’s trying to differentiate himself at this point with his party’s other candidates for their nomination. There’s nothing to protest yet!!

Add to it, the event was scheduled to start at 18:00 and Trump did not arrive until about 20:00. People waited around for two hours to leave early?
More media BS. Maybe the only ones leaving were those who were intent on creating mayhem and when Trump mentioned filing charges . . .

That was the problem. Media credentials and an unapproved journalist who thought their badge gave them special privledge and access no one else had! If you want to be an ordinary Joe, take off the badge.
You didn’t have your credentials in order to attend the private event. Even so, you were invited to have access with the rest of the media, but declined. Yeah at that point you are not welcome.

If you are a working journalist representing in official capacity, you have a photo go with you for archive. You don’t use a smartphone.
