Towards the end of his speech late Monday afternoon at the Peoria Civic Center Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was interrupted by a protester carrying a Donald Trump sign who yelled multiple times "Go back to Canada" at the leading opposition candidate to Trump..
Cruz told the man that he appreciated his being there and his freedom of speech and told the birther protester "You see sir one difference between this and a Donald Trump rally is I am not asking anyone to punch you in the face."
Security escorted the man from the event.
The Trump protesters outburst drew massive boos from the more than 2,000 people who came to the event the 3rd of 5 Cruz is doing in Illinois ahead of Tuesday's primary .
Trump's comments on the campaign trail questioning Cruz's eligibility to be President has prompted birthers across the country to launch legal challenges to Cruz's ability to appear on various state ballots. Twice prominent birther Lawerence Joyce of Poplar Grove, IL tried to get Cruz kicked off the ballot in Illinois first having his challenge totally rejected by the Illinois State Board of Elections, and then having a lawsuit he brought in Cook county court seeking to have that determination reversed was tossed out.

JimRob is entitled to his opinion, and those of us who don’t believe he is a natural born citizen, are entitled to ours. It isn’t a settled matter in the courts, so it’s still up in the air. I will never believe he is a NBC - NEVER!
How... Convenient. Not that the person would be a campaign plant. No, no. Never.
He even waited patiently while the "disrupter" tried to remember his lines.
Vet if he wins FL, OH then he is in the running, but if he is not and comes third again in another swing state the it is over.
VA and other southern states he did not win a single county and has only won 3, yes 3 primary election states thus far.One being his own state with less than 50% ad a neighboring state.
Lets face it he is only there to take as many delegates to stop Trump for the establishment.
Of course not, that’s “silly” according to Cruz.
Well, at least Ted renounced one of his two other foreign citizenships.
At least Ted finally found one guy to protest him.
He won some delegates in Mississippi and Arkansas IIRC.
But unfortunately, class no longer counts. At least, not with the Trump supporters. Crass is King, ya know.
I think that “fauxtestor” was one of Cruz’s own people, put there so Cruz could use that assinine wisecrack. Cruz has sunk from being my 2nd choice to where I don’t trust anything he sez or duz.
Cruz does not need Florida, or Ohio to win this thing outright. He only needs to be in a position where voters have to choose between him and Donald Trump and not between him, Donald Trump and two spoilers.
As of tomorrow, at least one and hopefully both these hopeless cases will be gone, and then we will see what happens next.

After watching Ted speak for more then ten seconds, I feel as if snakes are crawling over my body, while snake oil is slowly poured over my head.
Is Glenn Beck advising him on his ‘style’? ‘DC on the top.....sh#tkickers on the bottom’? The ‘jeans and blazer’ is sooooooo....pretentious. When does he start rolling up his shirt sleeves and appear before bales of hay with a hay seed stuck between his rubber band lips?
Trump occasionally shows up with a trucker cap on. Sure. But the whole ‘manipulative ensemble’ some politicians go to makes me sick.
“He can claim Cuban, US and Canadian citizenship.”
And Trump can claim Scottish citizenship.
