Republican establishment says, 'Help us, Ted Cruz. You're our only hope'
Blasting News ^ | March 9, 2016 | Mark R. Whittington

The old conventional wisdom was that Ted Cruz was too disliked by official Washington, too hard-lined conservative, to get the support of the Republican establishment. The new conventional wisdom has the Republican Party movers and shakers turning to Cruz and saying, in effect, “Help us, Senator Ted Cruz. You’re our only hope.”

The GOPe may be mistaken, but they show that they think that Ted can be bought or at least managed. At least they can get trade deals, unlimited H1B’s and birth right citizenship will survive. Ted’s record indicates sympathy for all of the forgoing policies.

Nonsense.
Ted knows he can’t win a contested convention.
After the 15th, if Trump does as expected, he’ll be out.
If Cruz does do exceptionally well on the 15th and Trump does poorly , then Ted has a chance.

The GOPe isn’t fooling anyone.

Did you forget a sarcasm tag or do you believe that Ted is incorruptible.

He took on Neil Bush and with him comes Jeb’s donors. Cruz is one of the establishment boys.

Oh BS already. The GOPe isn't saying this. They are still fighting against Cruz even now. Marco is their candidate, and Marco is still running against Cruz.

I hope he sees the writing on the wall, that he is being picked last by a team that doesn't want him.

Can he make nice, team with Trump and end the GOPe stranglehold?

I have a feeling the football is going to get pull out of the way again....

Bringing Neil Bush on means Ted intends to win - either as President ot VP

Neil Bush has access to the Bush family ground game infrastructure that both he and Trump lack

These guys must be really corrupt and really stupid, because I can see no other reason they fear Trump. They are not conservative and they do not like conservatives. They may have a better chance of getting moderation out of Trump.

If they really fear Trump because he’s not “polite” enough they are total pussies, because he’s not that rude.

My vote is they are that corrupt. Their donors think Trump is serious about immigration and bringing back jobs.

Actually, I didn’t think a sarcasm tag was necessary because I assumed at this point most know where Cruz’ loyalties truly lie.

Cruz worked for the Bush administration, Heidi Cruz is Golden Sacks, and North American Union. Cruz has now taken on Neil Bush the S&L fraudster, and the rest of Jeb’s finance team.

Cruz is the stealth Bush, and has the stink of warmed over Bush all over him. Trump should hammer him on his association with the Bushes, Golden Sacks and North American Union.

I just heard a clip of Cruz on fnc during a live Trump interview where he claums the 76 gop convention was contested. Didn’t that go on a straight up over 50%vote? If what I think is true Mr Trump didn’t comment from that premise.

Thanks for the clarification. You know that many of the Cruz supporters here seem to have no sense of irony.

If you want a third Bush presidency, Cruz is your man. He’s going home now.
