Who lived there 4000 years ago? Generic Canaanites or a specific group? The Anakim seem to be further south, in the Hebron area.

I lived in Bethlehem many years ago and have been in strange underground caverns that were obviously man-made that the locals took me to. Lots of undiscovered history there IMHO.
