Donald Trump is now officially the Code Pink Republican. Or maybe he's the Daily Kos or Huffington Post Republican. How about the Debbie Wasserman Schultz Republican? I think that fits. Heck, we all saw it and we all heard it. Trump went full left loon on George W. Bush and 9/11, sounding like the most impassioned truther from the left. Did Maxine Waters do his debate prep?
Trump snarked childishly that Bush did not keep us safe on 9/11. Apparently Mr. Trump is not intellectually very curious about history. If he were, he would know that 9/11 was dreamed up, contemplated, financed, planned, and practiced on Bill Clinton's watch. This planning and practicing continued during the days of the hanging chads in Florida.
This is not to defend George W. Bush and his neocon nation-building fantasies and his capitulation to unions regarding the TSA and so on. I've been critical of Bush and Karl Rove since 2001 on these and many other issues.
But the truth matters.
And the truth is that the single biggest failure by the American intelligence community was foisted onto the CIA and the FBI by Clinton appointee Jamie Gorelick with her infamous "wall of separation" between the two agencies. They had their hands tied behind their backs -- thanks to a Clinton appointee.

Bush doubled the debt from $5 trillion to $10 trillion, expanded Medicare with the prescription drug program, lost GOP control of Congress, signed McCain-Feingold, and paved the way for Obama. He was a lousy President and no Conservative.

Trump brags about adultery; he brags about betraying his previous wives; he brags about how his followers have irrational loyalty that would allow him to simply shoot someone in New York without any loss of support. He knows these followers. Their loyalty is to him, not to conservatism, not to the truth, and not to the Republican Party. It’s all about Trump.
Trump is only saying things that most believe.

We need someone who will take this country from the abyss obams and the left has taken us. They have been given a free rein to do all they have done. I can’t believe what this country has turned into under obams’ 7 years. I go way back, and I’ve never seen such division and hate that is openly evident today. obams has given the left the green light to riot, to bring in illegals that are dangerous to all of us, and to change our constitution and rule of law into whatever he wants it to be. We don’t even call it what it is... it’s dictatorship. Congress is afraid to touch him and the media protect him.
These are times I’ve never seen before. A man and his followers who hate this country and are hell bent on changing it to what they see as fit for them. Rule of law, the constitution, common sense and love for the United States have been thrown aside by idiots who have no clue about doing what is right. If obams is allowed to choose the replacement for Scalia, the results will be that the left can have anything they want.... guns, taxes, our properties, freedoms will be gone forever. They elect this foreigner with the skin color that protects him from any criticism and all hell has descended on our country. No one has stopped it for 7 long and dangerous years.
This election is not like any other election. The Supreme Court now holds the same importance as this election, for our country. We need a man who will take us out of the abyss. We have how many adults in congress and elsewhere in Washington? Grown up adults... who won’t do squat to stop obams. No one. We have been hung out to dry by our leaders.
Tell me, which one of the top 3 or 4 candidates will do what those grown men in congress have not done and won’t do. Find me a man who will stop this madness, a man who is not afraid to tackle all of them... a man who will do what he says he will do. All of them lie... find me a man who will tell the truth and not flinch in the face of all the criticism that will come down on him if he does what we want him to do. I don’t trust any of them. I can’t find a one who has all the qualities that is needed to stop the bleeding and destruction. We have to take apart what is most important for these times, and go with it... each one of us. The man who becomes the next President has to be the right choice, and I don’t see anyone who is a perfect choice. I don’t see anyone who is a Reagan. I don’t see anyone who is an Eisenhower. I don’t see anyone who is perfect. We need a man who loves our country, and has some common sense and not afraid to use it on the left. Being a conservative is not the most important. There are a lot of them in congress and they all have failed us. What I see are cowards. We need someone who is not a coward. A man who will take it all on... and the weaker will follow suit. Reagan was not a coward.. he knew how to do it right. I don’t see anyone like him... but we are getting to the end of this election process... a wise man is not among them. So be it... one will end up being the candidate.

We have a GOP-controlled Congress that gives Obama everything he wants. Talk about drinking the Kool-aid.

Seriously. To think just four short years ago most on this site were holding their noses to vote for Romney (myself included) and now, they are all in for Trump who is historically, even further to the left than Mitt.
All because of the promise of a wall.
Call it what you want... problem is it’s accurate. How do you fix that? Government can’t fix it. It’s a free country, and people need to be responsible for themselves and get a brain.
The GOPe hates Trump for the same reason conservatives hate him because he is an impostor. The same reason they’re opposed to Obama. Trump praised and funded Hillary and praised Obama. He’s an impostor. He’s a fraud.
are you telling us the Iraqi WMDs Bush was looking for went to Syria and we never went in there to get them?.. is that what you are saying because if that’s true Bush should have been impeached..
