Code Trump: The Gallop Leftward Continues
American Thinker ^ | 2/15/16 | C. Edmund Wright

Posted on 02/15/2016 6:40:02 AM PST by TBBT

Donald Trump is now officially the Code Pink Republican. Or maybe he's the Daily Kos or Huffington Post Republican. How about the Debbie Wasserman Schultz Republican? I think that fits. Heck, we all saw it and we all heard it. Trump went full left loon on George W. Bush and 9/11, sounding like the most impassioned truther from the left. Did Maxine Waters do his debate prep?

Trump snarked childishly that Bush did not keep us safe on 9/11. Apparently Mr. Trump is not intellectually very curious about history. If he were, he would know that 9/11 was dreamed up, contemplated, financed, planned, and practiced on Bill Clinton's watch. This planning and practicing continued during the days of the hanging chads in Florida.

This is not to defend George W. Bush and his neocon nation-building fantasies and his capitulation to unions regarding the TSA and so on. I've been critical of Bush and Karl Rove since 2001 on these and many other issues.

But the truth matters.

And the truth is that the single biggest failure by the American intelligence community was foisted onto the CIA and the FBI by Clinton appointee Jamie Gorelick with her infamous "wall of separation" between the two agencies. They had their hands tied behind their backs -- thanks to a Clinton appointee.

My Nam Vet. husband has said for years that he and all the other Vets knew they weren’t fighting to win a war in Nam. There’s a big difference in being at war and fighting a war to win. Trump knows this and he sees if we go in with a lot of men and power we are there to “WIN”. Not provide a point as Bush went in to prove and failed.

“Now that the pandora’s box has been opened, the job needs to be finished.”

So what does that mean? More boots on the ground, or the status quo, which is bombing them?

“Trump knows this and he sees if we go in with a lot of men and power we are there to “WIN”.”

Ok, so that does mean boots on the ground. And whole lot of them. that’s all you had to say.

You hit on exactly what makes Trump so popular with the common, everyday American...He says what he feels...No “politispeak” from Trump...It IS refreshing...

Why is that, because he doesn’t pay due reverence to the Bush family. How’d that “kinder gentler” and “thousand points of light” and all the wars in Iraq work out for you? Or maybe some are worried that Trump won’t surrender his critical thinking process to the swarm of neo-cons infesting the republican party, and not send Americans off to die in more Middle East wars at their behest.

Uh, it means let those that want to fight, like the Kurds, and Russians, put up the soldiers, and we supply the Kurds with weapons and support. We recognize the Kurds as an independent state and ally as an added incentive.

We don’t need to send in our army to defeat ISIS.

Many of us refuse to except “politics as usual” anymore. For at least seven years, we've been told to vote Republican in order to stop the Obama agenda. Then after an election is over, these “campaign conservatives” go back to supporting the very agenda they ran against!

Now, once again we're being told we should vote for another professional politician in order to stop the Liberal agenda.

So, who's drinking Kool-Aid?

Sorry, but I'm more than willing to take the chance on someone different.

Trump snarked childishly that Bush did not keep us safe on 9/11.

FACT. Worst attack in US history.

Apparently Mr. Trump is not intellectually very curious about history.

Trump warned repeatedly about Bin Laden for years. The Clinton Admin knew Bin Laden wanted to hurt us. Bush did not go after him, nor act on the intelligence.

If he were, he would know that 9/11 was dreamed up, contemplated, financed, planned, and practiced on Bill Clinton's watch. This planning and practicing continued during the days of the hanging chads in Florida.

All convenient excuses.

Planned Parenthood:....The problem lies with Roe vs Wade. You have to go after that and get it overturned.

We've let it go on and on.

Read what Scalia said about Roe vs Wade (and gay marriage).

I totally get it.

Trump is not trustworthy and won’t do any of that.

There’s no pixie dust.

You hit on exactly what makes Trump so popular with the common, everyday American

The common everyday American lives paycheck to paycheck. They have more credit card debt than they can pay off in 2 years. They have less than $500 in the bank. A large car repair bill would likely cause them to miss a house payment. Yep... these are the trump supporters. Everyday americans. I'm telling you, this country is full of irresponsible idiots.... and this crazy country lets them vote. We need a constitutional amendment that institutes an IQ test before people an vote.

“Uh, it means let those that want to fight, like the Kurds, and Russians, put up the soldiers”

But they already are. I’m confused. Do you want to kick their asses like Trump said, or do you want the status quo? Can’t have it both ways.

>> Trump is a liberal! <<

Wrong. The man is most certainly not a liberal, he’s most certainly not a conservative.

He’s simply a mentally unstable individual and a pathological narcissist, a man with no fixed ideology other than the worship of his own personality.

Put another way, Trump is to political principle as reality TV is to reality — which is to say, there’s no significant correlation, no direct correspondence, no meaningful connection.

Thank you for your service Sir.

I don't think we took out Saddam, thinking he was responsible for 9-11.

Colin Powell stopped US from finishing Saddam off after he invaded Kuwait.

Trump saying Bush is responsible for destabilizing the M.E. is just inaccurate.

Remember all the smiles and purple fingers in Iraq?

The M.E. became wholly unstable after Barack withdraw from Iraq, allowing Iran & ISIS to fill the void.

Barack & Hillary further destabilized the M.E. by overthrowing our ally in Eqypt and overthrowing the Libya dictator that had giving up is WMDs, and nuclear weapons program.

Sending men in is always the last step but sometimes necessary. If that should happen then we go in to win and finish the job. Trump has said we will be big and powerful again and that’s the key. One has to go in with the mindset that we will win, give it everything with no hands tied behind our backs, and mostly the military will be calling the shots. Not the money behind a President calling the shots.

You can’t stop it unless you go after Roe vs Wade. But you don’t have to fund it with Federal dollars.

Trump will stop the funding. And I trust Trump more than Cruz to correctly judge the character of the next member of SCOTUS.
