Breaking: First South Carolina Poll after NH (Trump 36 Cruz 19 Rubio 15 Bush 11)
OpinionSavvy ^

Posted on 02/12/2016 7:50:52 AM PST by springwater13

Coming hot off his win in New Hampshire -and with a significant amount of his time devoted to South Carolina- it’s little surprise that Trump is 16-17 points ahead. It appears that the only demographics that Trump isn’t currently winning are 18-29 year-old voters and self-described “very liberal” voters, who prefer Rubio and Kasich, respectively. Evangelists prefer Trump to Cruz by a margin of 10 points – a significant change from Iowa, where Cruz led with evangelical voters by four points.

When respondents were asked of their second choice for the nomination, Rubio and Cruz command the first and second spots (within 2 points), with others trailing closely.

The poll was conducted for the Augusta Chronicle, Morris News Service, and Fox 5 Atlanta.

While I still admire Ted Cruz for his unbending resolve in the Senate, yet there is something about his speech patterns, facial expressions and word usage that strike me as both odd and annoying (”I might add,” “I might suggest,” “I might note,” etc.) Add to this the observation that Cruz tend to avoid prolonged direct eye contact when interviewing, as he will often turn his head off to his left and downward, while using these phrases, as if he knows he is being disingenuous ... I’m not absolute on that point, but something is definitely out of place - I just cannot nail it down.

However, I do get the sense that Senator Cruz often comes across as condescending or patronizing - and in that regard the comparison to “Eddy Haskell,” while comical, is rather accurate, in my opinion.

Now, perhaps I am too judgmental in this regard, but my gut sense is to avoid conferring the presidency on this man.

How's RushRINO dealing with the setback

Ol' Rushbo has been backing the D.C. establishment insiders from his first day on the job.

Not much has changed with a week to go.

Trump’s last 3 SC polls

+17%
+16%
+19%

Trump has won about every poll 18 out of 19 SC polls since he announced. 1 outlier from Clemson (Lib) giving Carson a 1% lead back in early November. Cruz has never led in any South Carolina poll at any time.

I am a Trump supporter, though I prefer Cruz. I must say that Trump is coming dangerously close to alienating me with these immature attacks.

Do you mean Trump pointing out that Ted is being dishonest?

Kevin, Ted Cruz IS being dishonest.

Tere are “electioneering” communication report that requires campaigns and super Pacs to divulge their spending within 24 hours.

“Any person who makes electioneering communications that aggregate more than $10,000 must file disclosure statements with the Commission within 24 hours of the date an electioneering communication is publicly distributed”

All campaigns know this, so what they do, is they keep the individual spending under the 10K threshold. But eventually, the truth comes out and the firm being used to do the “push polls” are the Jeff Roe folks.

The Campaign campaign states its not us! The real disclosure is “Its not us because we get the Super Pac to do our dirty work!

That is the reality and Trump is calling them on it. What should he do, ignore it?

According to this poll Carson is tied for last with “undecided” at 5%. Is he going to be allowed in the debate Saturday night?

Since Carly wasn’t allowed to debate last week, there’s no way Carson should be included in the SC debate considering his poor performance in NH, his poor performance in the SC poll and his lack of campaigning.

Revolution? I forget - does that come before or after DEMORALIZATION, Destabilization, Crisis..?

"According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages.

The first stage being "demoralization".

It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of [their] enemy. In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least 3 generation of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism; American patriotism.

Most of the activity of the department [KGB] was to compile huge amount / volume of information, on individuals who were instrumental in creating public opinion.  Publisher, editors, journalists, uh actors, educationalists, professors of political science.  Members of parliament, representatives of business circles.
 "
--KGB Defector Yuri Bezmenov
--Soviet Subversion of the Free Press (Ideological subversion, Destabilization, CRISIS - and the KGB)

Oh right.  It's after.

Hahaha. I know. The same geniuses that say Trump can’t break 1/3 never address how Santo Rafael can’t break 20.

THis is Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuge. Why? Because in SC the biggest vote getter, gets 29 delegates.

Twenty-nine for Trump... that would be so sweet.

“If TRUMP wins South Carolina, we need to begin an email/telephone/tweet campaign to our representatives and senators asking them to call for the party to unite behind Trump.

Melt the lines after SC.”

I like this idea!

The Cruz campaign sends bulletins out to their “followers” to spread the lies. Anybody have a facebook account with no friends so we can see the attacks and counter them as they happen?

A little counter-terrorist approach is in order!

“This is great! Invest the future of the Republic to a johny-come-lately “ conservative” who has never had to ask God for any forgiveness!”

What has Cruz asked God forgiveness for?

Trump got over 1/3 in N.H.

At least one recent pole had him at 40% in S.C..

The pole this thread is about has him over 1/3 in S.C.

Trump got 25% in Iowa, 35% in liberal NH, and is now polling at 36% in SC. For grownups who understand proportions, that is 1/3 or less in each of the early contests.

Your superman can only get one third of the votes and he doesn't know how to do any better because his PT Barmum act is starting to wear thin.

1/3 = 33.3%. In what world are you living that 35% is less than 33%???

Tru dat!

Between RushRINO getting a rush up his leg with a flaming homosexual at his 847th wedding and his attacking true social conservatives via his "golfing buddies", I stopped listening to that phony!
