RE the late 60s early 70s: I seem to recall quite a few guys over the years admitting that they got involved in various lefty causes back then because that’s where the (easy) girls were. I bet Ol’ Gloria was a real tough nut to crack. Probably a lot of starry eyed young simpletons on the McGovern campaign.

Just another angle to view. Young date age girls get lots of free entertainment from young guys. Movies, concerts, transportation, meals, beer, pot, flowers, jewelry...boys are where the gifts are. Socialism is where the gifts are...for free college, free health care, used to be a girl had to get pregnant to get Government hand outs. With Bernie, even the college will be free and no pregnancy is required. Bernie is where the free stuff is. He is where the boys(free stuff) are.

I went to a Farmers Market yesterday in Sarasota, Fl. The stands consisted of one Vegan, Organic produce, bakery and food stand after another. The people there, mostly over 50 years old, radiated liberalism.

I have some friends & family members like them. They never left the 1960s.
