“Those who know you are well aware of you high opinion of yourself, so much so that the RM once had to warn you about boasting to “other Freepers, individually, that they will fail in their debate with you and how superior you are to them,””
A warning is a warning - it is not necessarily a statement of fact. Here’s a fact: You repeatedly posted false statements. Nothing will change that fact.
“...while it is not surprising that you take such an interest in the Inquisition, since, just for the record, you thanked God the Spanish Inquisition was up to the task in preventing a Spanish Reformed Sect, which certainly infers approval of their means. But so much for the past.”
I take an interest in the inquisition for several reasons:
1) I was a historian of the Church in the Middle Ages.
2) It was related to my core research for my doctoral dissertation.
3) I was astounded the more I got into researching it just how little those - mostly Protestants and Liberals - who attacked it actually knew about it. I also was astounded at how common it was for people to post online about it when they knew NOTHING about it. One thing I noticed was when you asked those same dolts what books or articles they had ever read about he inquisition they usually went silent or desperately tried to change the subject. Anti-Catholicism is synonymous with ignorance after all.
And, yes, I thank God, that Protestant Revolutionaries never came to dominate Spain. If He chose to use the inquisition to preserve orthodox Christianity in Spain, I have no problem with His choice. Better that than a repeat of Exodus 32:28.
About you? Where and what?
If He chose to use the inquisition to preserve orthodox Christianity in Spain, I have no problem with His choice.
So again you thank God for the killing of Prots. Why should be even bother attempting reasonable exchange with such a arrogant advocate? /
Catholicism seems to be synonymous with arrogance.
Could you post a link to your dissertation?
