Jim, I know you don’t take paid advertising, but I sure hope that the blog pimps at least contribute through donations to the freepathon. As they sure don’t contribute anything to the site with their constant over excerpted posts except by collecting the money from advertising when Freepers click on the links.
To answer the question I think it’s because conservatives want a winner and a lot of them don’t think Cruz can win but they know Trump can pull some of the middle of the road voters. If Cruz gets the nomination those voters will vote democrat or stay home. And staying home is the same as voting for a democrat.
Because Cruz aligned with the Tea Party, and has not “gone along to get along” with the GOPe.
The GOPe and the Dems hate the Tea Party more than ISIS, MS-13, Al Qaeda and Hezbollah combined.
The Tea Party threatens their power.
Is it a new discovery that the Washington republicans are liberal and do not like conservative republicans?
The Washington Elites hate Ted Cruz because he is uncompromising.
The establishment don’t hate him, they fear him. They have all burned their bridges to him. If he wins he presidency, they can kiss their butts goodbye.
Because they love the lobbyist dough and they don’t want anyone to interfere.dough
And they’re starting to see the tramp won’t interfere.
After all, no one understands greed better than he.
Cruz is Canadian?
Poor teddy.
He takes people back to high school, reminding some people of the kids they made fun of, others of what they were like in high school when the other kids bullied them, and a few of the debate team chief who thought he was a big man on campus and gave them a hard time.
I know it's silly, but he's got an awful lot to overcome if he wants to be president.
My theory is:
Obama and the Socialist Democrats have circumvented the Constitution for years. The elitist Republicans never stopped them or even put up a fight. Precedent has been set and now it’s the Republicans turn to wield that power of non constitutionalism.
Tec Cruz represents taking back the power and returning it to the people. They don’t want that, so go with the person they can groom. That’s Trump.

The writer makes great points, all of them are why I am voting for Cruz all the through the general election. It is about right and wrong and conservative principles. No other candidate is a conservative.
