Is ‘Donaldus Dealus’ the savior of Western Society?
Canada Free Press ^ | 01/23/16 | Judi McLeod

Trump is the unstoppable rising star of his own celebrity cult. Everyone knows his name, but not necessarily all the components of his game.

There can be little doubt about ‘The Donald’ now being “all the rage”.

Any media scribes, including the 24 National Review ones impertinently questioning whether Trump’s really a conservative are branded as “conservative coyotes”.

It’s an era of long knives, one in which you don’t always know the direction from which the next shiv is coming ; an era in which more than ever seeking public office means your mother, father, or wife get dragged into the mix if their livelihood is even remotely close to the enemy camp.

Most vitriol is aimed at the presidential contenders in the conservative camp, leaving a wide break for Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

Trump is the Republican version of Obama. A person with no serious practical experience in government with an overblown sense of his abilities to fix things. Obama has certainly fixed things but not for the better. Trump’s supporters say he will fix things. They don’t know how or why, but he’ll get it done. We’ve just had seven going on eight years of one disaster after another. I guess they want four to eight more.

Western Civilization.

He can be. It depends on his resolve. And the resolve of his supporters.

Note tagline.

There are similarities, as you observe.

The greatest difference is that Obama hates Western Civilization and the United States, considers them the greatest force for evil and against good in the world, and encourages the decadence of Western Civilization as a means of destroying them. Trump--in contrast--loves Western Civilization and the United States, considers them as the greatest force for good and against evil in the world today, and is determined to reverse the decadence of Western Civilization.

Could you elaborate? Seems that resolve does not trump philosophy; if one has a bad plan for solving a problem it doesn't help that he's determined to implement it.

Trump a Republican version of zero? Yeah, right. Zero wishes he had 1/10th the success at life that trump has had.
trump is no community organizer, Muslim, homosexual who spends his time in a liberation theology “church”.

“Practical government experience” is the reason we’re in the mess that were in now.

There is no “experience” requirement in the Constitution, only age and citizenship.

Insofar as we only have one president at a time, there is essentially no way to gain experience at being President.

That sums it up well.
Scowlin reality show ego-maniac, ingratiating Trump is a populist pandering political ass.

“They don’t know how or why, he’ll just get it done.”

What? He says he’ll build a wall and enforce our immigration laws, something e GOP and the dems have refused to do. In fact, despite saying the opposite, our lovely GOP just funded more of this insanity. What do you want to see, the architectural plans for the wall? The schematics of how to physically do it? It’s not that difficult, in fact, six years ago, we passed a law funding 800 miles of it, but Obama and your GOP doesn’t seem to care that nothing has been built. if he just gets that one thing done, his will have been a very successful presidency and will have done more than all of the GOP hucksters have done in the past 16 years. I say this as a person who intends to vote for Cruz right now.

Trump has executive experience which I like. Cruz has legislative experience which is the worst possible type for President.

After Donald takes care of business with primary opponents, he will train his guns on Hillary or Bernie.

This is why Trump is so aggressively seeking an Iowa victory, so he can end the primaries and focus on the dems.

Donald Trump, Leader, Fighter, Winner! America needs Donald!

I have made similar comment on a couple other threads. It is scary the way people are going on about Trump, it *is* similar to the adoration that O received.

Trump is going to reach across the aisle and collaborate with the commiecrats. Mitch McConnell has a good friend and fellow collaborator.

We should not complain about Mitch anymore. After all Trump is going to do the same thing.

I don’t think Trump is adored. I think the population is fed up with with business as usual, and Trump has said that it will not be business as usual if he is elected president.

Besides, whoever wins the presidency will have their feet held to the fire by republicans and democrats, unless it is a dem president. Any dem president could be televised eating a live puppy on the White House lawn, and the dems would applaud it.

More “dope and change” from another democrat running as a republican. He is going to make deals, as if we don’t have enough deal makers in the republican establishment. Just what we need - one more deal maker to help out Mitch McConnell and McCain.

Of course you're right about that. The last thing we need is someone with an intense resolve to implement the wrong things; that's what we have had with Obama.

Furthermore, we have learned from infuriating recent experience to be highly skeptical of the promises of politicians. The fury and contempt that we have for the RINOs is a reasonable reaction to their blatant betrayal.

I do not agree with Trump on every point. The Kelo Decision, private property, and eminent domain are a HUGE point of disagreement.

However, Western Civilization is profoundly decadent. If this is not reversed, it will fall. The aftermath will be horrible.

We--the honest, intelligent, benevolent people--have been watching and waiting for something to rally around for the purpose of reversing this decadence and removing the U.S.A. from the swift cultural current that is sweeping the rest of the West to its doom.

Trump has offered his resources to stop the destruction of the U.S.A. and reverse the decay.

Everything that he has said, as far as I can tell, is consistent with this goal and this resolve.

I think he loves the U.S.A. and Western Civilization, considers them to be the greatest single force for good in the world, and is determined to champion their preservation and their return to ascendency.

I DEFINITELY agree with this objective!

To me, this is the great, fundamental, and overriding goal. It must be done. Other issues are minor in comparison. Some of them are manifestations of the decay. Some may not be. But the return of the U.S.A. to ascendency and to the fulfillment of the American Dream is the overriding concern.

What I mean by Trump's resolve is that, once he has undertaken the task of ending U.S. decadence and restoring U.S. ascendency, he must not abandon it--or us, whom he has promised to deliver from it.

The resolve of his supporters means that we who are determined to restore U.S. ascendency also must not waver.

The task is enormous, but I think we can do it.

So far Trump has shown no sign of wavering.

So far, he and his objective have received enormous grass-roots support from all over America.

These are good signs. I am very optimistic. But we must all stay the course. Our resolve must remain steadfast.

I think it will.

“Trump is the Republican version of Obama. A person with no serious practical experience in government with an overblown sense of his abilities to fix things.”

Yes thank God we have an alternative to vote for: Ted Cruz.

Ted who has never owned or operated a business in his life. 95% of Ted Cruz’s career has been as an elected official or a member of GW Bush’s campaign and admin. He’s the ultimate outsider. Not

Ted Cruz, the most brilliant student Alan Dershowitz ever taught and he would have you believe he the former Solicitor General of TX and his wife a Managing Director of Goldman Sachs “forgot” to declare $1 million plus of loans From Goldman Sachs and Citibank on their FEC filings.

Ted Cruz the ultimate outsider has received the 4th largest amount of Wallstreet donations to him campaign of any Presidential candidate. Couple that with his big oil super pacs and you just know he can’t be bought.

Ted Cruz the conservative who voted for TPA and the Corker bill and then when confronted stuttered his way through an ineffective excuse. Hey folks he was already bending a knee to his donors.

So lets just be real when we start to examine warts on Trump make sure you include Ted’s warts. LOL!

I have seen many many comments here along the theme of “Oh, he’s going to save us!” There doesn’t seem to be much thought behind how Trump can get done some of the things he says he’s going to do and whether they are actually possible within the framework of The Constitution. It’s the same Federal power grab that is happening now, but it’s okay because he’s on “our side”. That doesn’t work for me. I don’t necessarily disagree with what Trump says needs to be done, but it does sound a lot like business as usual as far as HOW it will supposedly get done.
