REALITY: I Personally Know a Guy Who Was Ripped-Off by Trump for a 7-figure Amount...
Reaganite Republican ^ | 18 January 2015 | Reaganite Republican

He stressed that Donald Trump was never to be trusted,
for the man operates utterly devoid of principle

What happened is the NY attorney I know -and his lawyer sister- had done business with Trump, and in fact had all but won a case for him that resulted in a substantial cash settlement, to which the attorneys where contractually entitled to their % cut once the lawsuit was done. In this particular circumstance, the fee was to be over a million dollars, and it wasn't the first time they had worked with The Donald.

So when it all fell their way, Trump suddenly overnight fires these attorneys who brought him to victory's doorway so he wouldn't have to pay them the
% fee rightfully due them... then he hired some schlubbs who worked for a low hourly wage to do the paperwork and wrap up the already in-the-bag case.

Ever the ruthless opportunist, Trump found a hole in the contract he did with my friend, that the deal allowed them to be fired -for zero cause- and paid an hourly pittance for their work up to that point... totally violating the spirit of the contract, what a scumbag. He offered no explanation, and afterwards would not return their calls. 'Art of the Deal' indeed~

I was told this story back in 2012, when starting to flirt with the idea of giving Trump a little support on my site. The (conservative, registered Republican) lawyer friend -a man I trust utterly- went on to tell me the above story, adding that Trump simply didn't have the principles to hold such a powerful position, and that it would probably be better for us all if he just stayed in the real estate business and screwed people over there.

You can now see this shocking lack of principle in Trump's disingenuous and dishonest attacks on Ted Cruz... seems my friend was right all along.

Trump obviously can't compete with Cruz on the issues- and he couldn't make that any more apparent than with his current deplorable behavior.

That’s basically what I was told, the choice was between retaining some semblance of good faith and screwing somebody over for a buck... such decisions are a no-brainer for Trump

BS! If your friend was the attorney of record for the law suit representing Trump, he must not have been very good at what he does or he would have received his cut. The courts protect their own (lawyers) when it comes to fees owed. Unlike a criminal case, civil lawsuites and the attorneys of record always get their share of the cut if they win. I gaurantee you if they even had a bit of a leg to stand on they would have gone to court and got their money.

He specialized in property assessment, and may not have been prepared for dealing with such a ruthless piece of garbage.

But he’s a multi millionaire with his own JET, multi houses, owns shopping strips... he’s plenty successful

Not wanting to go into my personal experiences with lawyers. Suffice it to say.

If he can screw lawyers here at home, he can do it to our adversaries, both home and abroad

What facts, I have seen no fact at all in this he said/ they said BS article. It is nothing more than the ramblings of a blogger presenting hear say to slander someone. If the accusation are indeed true, we need particulars. So far there are none.

What Trump did in this case is reprehensible

What a joke. I hear squeals of self-righteousness and "oh-my-gods", and have to laugh. I have been a businessman most of my life, self-employed or as a contractor.

I have been plaintiff in Federal Court four times. I was the plaintiff. I had contracts that the others didn't wish to fulfill. I had done everything required. More often, I had gone far beyond what was asked. But, I found out that most lawyers don't know much about the law.

Four times a plaintiff, and never hired an attorney. I was a General Contractor and licensed Real Estate Broker. I never lost. I got what I was owed, or in the case of a Complaint against the State of WV, I got what I sued for... and they changed a law due to my claim!

Lawyers are more about "billable hours" than they are the Law. I won mostly because I wore them down with interrogatories and requests for documents. They finally figured out I would go away if they paid me. Once, I got more than I was owed because of egregious actions attempted at the beginning, and subsequent penalties by the Judge!

notice how this is hear say with no facts or names given.

I am sure that trump has a law firm on retainer for all his needs and if he screwed over his lawyer on a contract he would interrupt a whole bunch of other contracts that would hurt him . I bet it has been years it has been years since trump paid a percentage to his lawyers on contracts because he just has to many legal concerns not to have a top law firm working multiple deals at an hourly rate,

Is this suppose to be a negative hit piece on Trump? Somehow I don’t have any tears for lawyers being screwed by Trump. It put Trump in good light

lawyer friend -a man I trust utterly-

That's your first mistake.......and by the way, what was the hourly rate your friend charged since lawyers don't work for a mere "pittance"

It’s absolutely a cult- people seem like they WANT to and HAVE to believe Trump, pretty Hitleresque if you ask me.

Can’t believe his lying about Cruz hasn’t woken a few more up, tho...

Trump isn’t my guy, but he beats every establishment candidate by a mile. He may very well be just another swindler, but the RINO establishment types have made screwing over their voters a priority for so long it hardly matters.

Even if Trump is as bad as you say he is no worse than what we will get voting for Jeb or Rubio.

No names, no specifics, just a bunch of innuendo and gossip with of course a plug for Cruz at the end of your post. This is what FR has become these days? You should be ashamed to post this garbage.

If a lawyer does not understand that the Large Print giveth, and the Small Print taketh away, and didn’t bother to examine what they signed. . . .

. . . .they got what they deserved, and should look for new employment in either the food-service or janitorial industries. . .
