Finger on lip is giveaway for formulating a lie. That it is one finger, the pointing finger, hints that the lie he’s thinking of responding with is an accusatory one. Just my opinion.

You don't have to be a body language expert to see that the angry frown on his face and his finger in front of his mouth means "I hate you and what you're saying and I want you to shut up."

Is that "expert" enough for you?

Here's my take on it.

There is hate in those eyes.

Turned away slightly, not facing her is disrespectful - says my focus is over here, I'll turn slightly towards you as a mere momentary distraction.

Head tilted slightly down, disapproval, condiscention.

Hand in front of face, impatient, already knows what he wants to say, is holding himself back, not listening to her or considering what she is saying.

I only notice 2 things that stand out.

First of all, he's not making eye contact.

Second is the finger to the mouth.

Not making eye contact can be for several reason. Insecurity, lying, deep in thought, low self-esteem come to mind.

Hand to the mouth may mean he's holding back what he would like to say or it may be a simple habit.

If his hand had been over his chin it would indicate thoughtful consideration of what he’s hearing, but covering his mouth with a finger implies tension, likely a subconscious hesitation brought on by fear the next words will go over as false to discerning listeners. He’s thinking more about his response than about listening to the question. But what do I know...
