Grab a coffee, because this is soup-to-nuts.

Many people will awaken today to the news of approximately 100 to 150 armed militia taking control of a closed Wildlife Park Headquarters, and not know the full back-story – so here it is:

The short summary is: in an effort to draw attention to a ridiculous arrest of a father and son pair of Oregon Ranchers (“Dwight Lincoln Hammond, Jr., 73, and his son, Steven Dwight Hammond, 46,) who are scheduled to begin five year prison sentences (turning themselves in tomorrow January 4th 2016), three brothers from the Cliven Bundy family and approximately 100/150 (and growing) heavily armed militia (former U.S. service members) have taken control of Malheur Wildlife Refuge Headquarters in the wildlife reserve. They are prepared to stay there indefinitely.

Here’s the long version: including history, details, links video(s) and explanations:

Bad timing.

This is exactly what 0bama needs to advance his anti RKBA agenda.

That could be a death sentence for Lincoln Hammond, Jr., at 73.

After Waco, after Ruby Ridge, after Carl Drega, after Elian, after Bundy, after the Killdozerv guy...

All we ever hear is “now is not the time”. “This is not the hill to die on”. “They brought this on themselves”.

Every. Damn. Time.

Turn in your guns. Turn off your computer. It’s over...

As is usually the case, there's more to the story than meets the eye.

Especially if the eye we are looking through is the msm's.

Thanks for posting.

Meanwhile, BO says the shootings in San Bernardino might have been work place violence instead of terrorism.

Checked the Facebook, amazing how they try to compare this to Ferguson. All those heavily armed white guys? Did they destroy the empty fed Building yet? The loonies can’t wait to have the US Troops go out and shoot the citizens? Its truly amazing what has become of this country since the Hope and Change was implemented.

"By law, arson on federal land carries a five-year mandatory minimum sentence. When the Hammonds were originally sentenced, they argued that the five-year mandatory minimum terms were unconstitutional and the trial court agreed and imposed sentences well below what the law required based upon the jury’s verdicts. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, however, upheld the federal law, reasoning that “given the seriousness of arson, a five-year sentence is not grossly disproportionate to the offense.” The court vacated the original, unlawful sentences and ordered that the Hammonds be resentenced “in compliance with the law.” In March 2015, the Supreme Court rejected the Hammonds’ petitions for certiorari. Today, Chief Judge Aiken imposed five year prison terms on each of the Hammonds, with credit for time they already served."

Bad timing. This is exactly what 0bama needs to advance his anti RKBA agenda.

This is exactly why our founders gave us the right to have guns... to defend ourselves from overreaching burdensome government set out to harm Americans.

This turns into a Wacco and this government has a huge problem on its hands. There is a reason Americans have been arming themselves hugely in the last 7 years and you need to ask yourselves what they think they need to defend themselves from. This has a huge potential to be a disaster for dems because every American is feeling the burden of over-regulation and are sick of the unfairness and burden of it. Spotlighting this does not help dems it has the potential to backfire and harm dems.

Read that the Refuge is 60 miles south of Burns, that is in the middle of nowhere?

Alright ... if now is not the right time ... when is. There will ALWAYS be something in the way of a "right time". By most posts I've seen out here on FR about this ...(which totally disgusts me) ... Lexington and Concord happened during a "Bad Timing" period.

Enough ... it is 7 years+ into Zeros dictatorship ... the right time passed us by a long time ago ... now it's ANYTIME.

This place is so remote there will be no witnesses. The feds will annihilate these people and then tell any story they want to.

I’ve flown over this county in a light plane, it is nearly at the end of the earth.

True, not much in Burns. I travel through there 4 or 5 times a year. Only stop if I need fuel for myself or vehicle.

Pretty remote, the Refuge is almost 300 square miles.

Must have flown over it last year. It was so remote that when I was just about south of Burns lost contact with Seattle flight center for about 10 minutes.

Just checked back on my flight plan, I had Mahleur lake as one of the check points. Not much in that area.
