Ben Carson Proves He Is NOT A True Christian In One Statement…WOW!!!
Conservative Post H/T: Washington Post ^ | 12/4/2015

Posted on 12/04/2015 6:10:04 PM PST by BlackFemaleArmyColonel

Evangelicals in America have been calling Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson's faith into question since discovering he is a Seventh Day Adventist. The Seventh Day Adventists have a wide range of beliefs so most Bible-believing Americans decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

But now... He just went off the deep end of theology. In what seems to be an entire attempt at discrediting the teachings of Christianity by Jesus Christ himself, Carson elaborates on his beliefs. The Republican candidate dismisses the Rapture, saying he doesn't see any evidence for it in the Bible. (See the words of Jesus in Matthew 24:30-31). Then Carson makes a statement that blew the minds of Christians in America...

"I don't believe there is a physical place where people go and are tormented. No. I don't believe that," he said. (See... all of the Gospels)

Carson says he knows some people will disagree with him... (including Jesus). He said, "There's going to be different interpretations. You know, I see God as a very loving individual. And why would he torment somebody forever who only had a life of 60 or 70 or 80 years? Even if they were evil. Even if they were only evil for 80 years?"

Ummm... sin Carson... sin. See Genesis 3. See Romans 1.

Someone needs to sit down with Ben Carson and walk him through the Bible because as it stands, he is NOT a believer in the teachings of Jesus Christ, which means he is NOT a follower of Christ aka a Christian.

God will recreate our once-stained world, and live with us forever. We will finally achieve our true potential, living in the love and joy for which God created us.

On the new earth, in which righteousness dwells, God will provide an eternal home for the redeemed and a perfect environment for everlasting life, love, joy, and learning in His presence. For here God Himself will dwell with His people, and suffering and death will have passed away. The great controversy will be ended, and sin will be no more. All things, animate and inanimate, will declare that God is love; and He shall reign forever. Amen. (Isa. 35; 65:17-25; Matt. 5:5; 2 Peter 3:13; Rev. 11:15; 21:1-7; 22:1-5.)

This is some of what I found in my research...

I understand your words and could see this was someone who either wasn’t clear him or herself. Interesting.

When I looked up SDA theological information, I did not see references that could be taken this direction by your friend. I will need to dig deeper.

Ben Carson believes in hell, but he believes it will happen at a point in the future, when God renders judgement on the unsaved.

“There is no biblical requirement to believe in Hell or the rapture as a condition of salvation”

...other than the requirement that you believe and trust in the teachings of Christ. And Jesus taught about hell.

SDA’s are a restorationist cult who have a prophet (like the Mormons) who are pacifists and believe we should not celebrate most holidays like Christmas because they are pagan (like the JWs).

SDAs also have a great disdain for Christian groups esp Evangelicals and Catholics (spend a couple of hours on a debate board and you will see what I mean).

They are legalists who reject grace in favor of works and place the writings of Ellen G White over the Bible.

Amen! Unbelief is VERY DANGEROUS! It is directly at the heart of one’s TRUE Salvation.

John 5:37-38...”And the Father who sent Me, He has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form. “You do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.”

John 10:24-26...”The Jews then gathered around Him (Jesus), and were saying to Him, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father’s name, these testify of Me. “But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep.”

Titus 1:15...”To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.”

2 Thessalonians 2:12...”in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

A key statement is "I see God as ...". This is a man-centered statement. It is God's world and God can do what He pleases and this would have been a better statement for Ben to make then distracting his campaign with his 'opinions' on theology.

She wouldn’t talk about God, but the research I have is that they believe in 28 different things and all have to do with God, but like I said, there are different levels of this SDA or what ever they call it today...

Whether we believe in Hell or not, we are still (prior to receiving Christ) under God’s judgement and our destiny is in fact Hell. So from a judicial standpoint we need Christ as our sacrificial offering. But your belief or disbelief in Hell is not a precondition to salvation. Only your faith in Christ matters. There are many, many matters that many, many believers have misguided notions about, but God does not require you to have a thorough apprehension of these truths as a prerequisite to regeneration.

How do we know Trump is a Christian? If you’re going down this path be ready for the consequences when your candidate is judged on this

Only a brain dead ignoramus with no sense of Christian history wouldn’t know what you said. It bears repeating. Although annihilationism is definitely a minority opinion TODAY, it is a belief with a long pedigree in Christianity.

I’m fairly certain he means the Secret Rapture. When Christ comes, every eye will behold Him.

” (See the words of Jesus in Matthew 24:30-31). “

?

30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[a] will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.[b]

31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Thanks for making this comment. Although Carson is theologically wrong on Hell, he is right about the ridiculous “Rapture” theology, which is the basis of the Left Behind series. The net effect of premill dispensationalism and Rapture theology has pietism and passivity (”Why polish the brass on the Titanic? We’ll just watch TV and wait to get Rapture because Pastor Billy Bob just told me these are the “End Times””)

“I’m not a Carson supporter, but I strongly dislike highly judgmental pronouncements that someone is or isn’t a ‘True Christian’ based on secondary theological issues. There is no biblical requirement to believe in Hell or the rapture as a condition of salvation. Romans 10:8-13 is quite clear. These kinds of articles are divisive and give unbelievers ammunition.”

Amen.

In addition, the Pope was quoted yesterday as saying that God was Father and Mother. I guess in addition to Son and Holy Spirit. Assuming he was accurately quoted, are we now going to say the Pope isn’t a true Christian?

If not, maybe we ought cut Dr. Carson some slack on things that appear a whole lot less controversial than God in Four Persons.

In my experience Macy’ sucks and the employees I’ve dealt with haven’t been particularly pleasant. Way overpriced and snobby to boot.

Translation: Therefore, based on be-baw's anecdotal experience, Macy's employees deserve their punishment.

I've always considered it an interesting study to observe liberals who twist themselves into pretzels to justify a candidate lacking in integrity or one who is lying or exhibiting terrible judgment. It's unpleasant to witness it from those who claim to be on the conservative side of the aisle. < sad sigh >
