His defenders are going to have a lot of trouble nuancing the West Point scholarship if this 30 second video goes viral. Carson’s statement is very clear.

“Carsonâs statement is very clear.”
He does seem TOTALLY DELUSIONAL in that interview since he still thinks he was really offered a “full scholarship” to West Point.
The USUAL REASON someone fabricates military experience, or something related to military experience, is that it looks better when panning for votes, particularly if you were a dreg after high school. “Yes, my opponent may have served in Army for 4 years, but I was a Seal for 6 years”. If they get caught, it’s lights out for them...if not, a statement like that may win them the office.
In Carson’s case, he has his entire career as a surgeon to be VERY PROUD OF - he had NO POLITICAL REASON to fabricate this, which is why he seems delusional, still thinking it really happened.
OK...so what is the issue with the video?
I don't even understand your problem with that video.
Thanks for posting that video.
It is quite clear Carson says he was “offered” a scholarship to West Point.
That is an untrue statement by Carson.
No one is “offered” an appointment to West Point upfront.
No one. Including Ben Carson.
Are you stating that not knowing the difference between a
government paid military academy education and a scholarship
similar to those offered by any college makes Carson a liar?
I am not a particular fan of the good doctor but being
ignorant of the difference does not a liar make.
