The Wile E. Coyote Republican establishment/media cabal took it on the chin Wednesday night. They know it, but don’t know what to do about it.
This debate was supposed to be the launching pad for Ben Carson. Playing the part of “Bagdad Bob,†the media keeps saying Donald Trump is losing strength and Carson is gaining on him, but it’s not true and they know it.
The Trump haters started rocking his boat with bogus psy-ops polls including one showing Carson ahead nationally. “Trust us Ben, you’re surging,†they said, but he imploded Wednesday night, so he is not.
The Republican establishment did its job by handing the far-left media two hours to attack Trump, but that backfired because the tin foil adorned, CNBC crazies embarrassed themselves.
The “Who won the debate†surveys have gone largely as expected for those not in the Beltway. They show Trump winning by big margins; and if that wasn’t bad enough, Carson as a virtual non-factor.
Notwithstanding “expert†fairy tales about Marco Rubio being the winner, the real-life order-of-finish was Trump, Ted Cruz and Rubio as a very distant third.
For those who despise the GOPe and the media the fun is just beginning.
Consider: A) the GOPe/media cabal hates Trump and wants him dead;
B) but Trump is solidly ahead in real polls;
C) they hate Cruz and want him dead too but he finished a respectable second, substantially ahead of Rubio;
D) they love Rubio and with Jeb Bush finished, Carly Fiorina’s 3 ½ minutes over and Carson’s imaginary lead gone with the wind, Rubio is their new flavor...
