If these Trump haters would actually watch his pressers and listen they would remember Trump complaining many times he gets one bid for health insurance. He’s frustrated there is no competition. He obviously doesn’t want single payer for everyone.

It’s pretty pathetic the Trump haters have to stuff a strawman with their imaginations to attack - they have to do that because Trump’s position isn’t what they imagine it to be.

His supporters can spin it how they like, but the fact remains that Trump really shot himself in the foot yesterday.

I expect his polling will drop off pretty sharply in the coming weeks.

He himself did what Megyn Kelly, Fox News, and the rest of the LSM couldn’t do.

“Yep, and when asked to lay out the Cruz plan, they ignore you.”

‘It’s becoming increasing clear that Cruz is the one light on specifics. Taxes, immigration, etc. Except of course for Cruz’s fairy tale “plan” to abolish the IRS and also his insane idea to massively increase the broken H-1B visa program.’

I asked, asked, asked, asked, asked, and then asked again to see Cruz’ specific plan to stop the foreign invading flood. I got nothing but a slew of insults for my trouble. I finally said it appeared Cruz had no plans for a wall, and had made no hard hitting condemnation of the foreign invasion or of the human toll it was taking on US citizens.

That got them going, let me tell you. I was called a liar again and again and again, in huge, screaming black font. None of Cruz’ supporters said, ‘Tone it down,’ either. Cruz has some of the jerkiest supporters on the site.

Take a deep breath and actually read what he said

Until then there is no use debating half truths and media served sound bites

Hint: taking care of everybody doesn’t mean using the same means for everybody

“A robust competitive market, except for the “lower 25% who can’t afford private” insurance. For those, Trump said:

Is that the government taking care of everybody? No it isn’t and you should know it from what you quoted. Over and over Trump has said he wants competition in the HC insurance market, that he gets one bid for HC when he asks. He’s going to “take care of” the top 75% by giving them more options and competition among insurance companies - not single payer.

Pretty telling when people have to warp or ignore Trump’s words to criticise him. Doing that is strawman logical fallacy.

Donald Trump: Obamacare’s going to be repealed and replaced. Obamacare is a disaster if you look at what’s going on with premiums where they’re up 40, 50, 55 percent.

Scott Pelley: How do you fix it?

Donald Trump: There’s many different ways, by the way. Everybody’s got to be covered. This is an un-Republican thing for me to say because a lot of times they say, “No, no, the lower 25 percent that can’t afford private. But–”

Scott Pelley: Universal health care.

Donald Trump: I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now.

Scott Pelley: The uninsured person is going to be taken care of. How? How?

Donald Trump: They’re going to be taken care of. I would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people. And, you know what, if this is probably–

Scott Pelley: Make a deal? Who pays for it?

Donald Trump: –the government’s gonna pay for it. But we’re going to save so much money on the other side. But for the most it’s going to be a private plan and people are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition with lots of competitors with great companies and they can have their doctors, they can have plans, they can have everything.

I would like to hear more of an explanation of what Trump really plans to do here.... but I can see him announcing details soon.

Here is the transcript

Donald Trump: There’s many different ways, by the way. Everybody’s got to be covered. This is an un-Republican thing for me to say because a lot of times they say, “No, no, the lower 25 percent that can’t afford private. But–”

Scott Pelley, is the one who said Universal Health Care, if Trump wasn't advocating for that, he should have corrected him.

Poeple who can type something this stupidly idiotic have no opinions worth listening to. There is no metric that can measure this level of stupidity. It’s off all known charts.

Ha! Thank you for so eloquently making my point.

That’s not what he said ken5050.

There’s plenty to criticize so why make something up? Maybe you read it somewhere and wanted to believe it so you did?

It’s not what he said.

Ah...thanks for the clarification. So your actual point was that Trump-haters’ stupidity is immeasurable.

On this we agree!

I guess you missed the part about achieving that goal through a free, robust and competitive insurance marketplace?

Agree. Same ones who overlooked the part about Trump’s plan to REDUCE WASTE in all levels/agencies of government. (There is so much waste and red tape in healthcare, right now, that - once streamlined - will cut costs, tremendously.)

This, coupled with revenues we’ll repatriate, will more than cover those who cannot afford private insurance. Finally, Hospitals will be incentivized to treat low income patients via tax breaks, etc.

It’s a win-win-win deal, for ALL Americans, yet the so-called conservatives cannot see it. Trump’s plans will essentially shrink government...which is the essence of conservatism.

Levin completely shut down this Trump is for *single payer HC* myth, on his show, last night. I guess Mark is no longer conservative and/or is wrong on this, too. /s

Like you said....lets see the other DETAILED healthcare or tax plans, presented and posted by the other candidates, that are better.

Does this make you a non-trump bot? You’re just as adamant on your side of the issue, so you know what they say about glass houses.

Y'all have not run out of rocks yet??

I was, obviously, referring to what he said yesterday, along with the poster. I suppose you could go back far enough and find something Reagan said that would not fit what we think is conservative.
