MSNBC Reporting on TV that Boehner is resigning next month but didn't see it on their web page.
This is his way of (hopefully) forwarding the Speakership on to one of his GOPe colleagues...
I think he’s got some serious depression that needs tending to.
I’m gonna say this and I’ll probably get a lot of flak from some people here. But, I believe, if true, this would not happen if it hadn’t been for Trump’s arrival on scene. He is NOT my first candidate - Cruz is, but he has certainly focused the anger and the ire at establishment Republicanism and their leadership, in particular.
He’s given hope to those very few in the House who actually believe they ought to do what they promised their voters they would do by showing them he could be a target for all comers and still survive. Think about it. Standing up to Democrats, establishment GOP AND media and not only surviving, but THRIVING! He has shown them that principled dissent is not a PC dirty word. And for that, I’m thankful even if I’m not going to vote for him in the primary.
As for Boehner, he can go home and crawl back in that bottle.
YES!
See ya Cheeto!
Col Allen West would be better than McCarthy!!
McConnell next!!
Alcoholism has consequences.
Get to an AA Meeting, John. I do not like you but I do not want to see you dead.
Replacing one liberal for another is a valid concern I would have thought on a conservative forum.
What? And give up the GOPe continuity?
Boehner is goi g to speak.
We will probably have 100 threads on this before an hour is up..don’t care..it is joyous news
McCarthy is incredibly slimy.
No flak.
You are 100% correct.
This shows GOPe is running scared.
Yeah—Gowdy is almost worst because he’s a faker.
Jut my thought as well.
Now we have to look forward to the “peeing for distance” contest on FR about who should replace him.
Maybe the pope told him he should.
No flak from me, he's not my first choice, but without what he brought to the campaign the outrage would not have been magnified as it has been.
One thing for sure, this resignation is a wonderful thing, he became more gutless and spineless by the minute and should have gone at the beginninng of the session.
He will be a pariah for years to come (unfortunately a rich one).
“Who would replace him? Cruz? Oh, God Please, I pray. Then he can drop out of the Presidential race. He might be more usefull as Speaker than POTUS.”
Ironic tagline you have.
