The war is on between Trump and the conservative media
Business Insider ^ | September 24, 2015 | Rob Garver, The Fiscal Times

Recent media coverage of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has noted that the loudmouthed billionaire currently leading the Republican field in public opinion polls has been increasingly eager to complain to his audiences about how the “dishonest” media is covering his campaign.

Floating theories about NBC suppressing coverage of its own polls in order to report on other findings less friendly to Trump and about the heat on the stage at CNN’s debate last week, the real estate mogul and former reality television star has come across as a little bit paranoid.

Of course, just because you’re paranoid doesn’t meant they aren’t out to get you....

Hey, 2ndDivisionVet. I don’t know if this is newsworthy, but I ended up on twitchy regarding Lowry and Trump.

There’s a factor aside from his being a media animal: the man in the street. People are talking about him one on one and in groups everywhere, and the issues he’s championing are resonating with the people. No way the pundits and experts can beat that.

As long as Trump and his staff keep picking the important subjects and doing their homework, there will soon be more substance to this campaign as well as the accurate zeroing in on the issues that we have now.

I have never been so sick to my stomach over the bashing of a candidate. I’ve never seen the like of it. That is adding gasoline to the fire.

You are forgetting the most important thing!

Which is...ding ding ding ding....

14 candidates are professional politicians (includes Carly who actively campaigned for McCain..see the video below).

What do professional politicians do every day? Give speeches and debate and take no actions promised before election.

Trump & Carson have not spent their lives giving speeches every day and debating everyday. Instead, they have achieved real things in life. Built real things. Cured real sick children.

Is that difference sinking in?

I don’t post from Twitchy because it takes forever to align the tweets correctly and all that. Glad you stirred the $#*+ there, though.

“Trump is a mile wide in rhetoric, but his depth of policy understanding is almost nonexistent.”

Trump approaches these issues differently. He’s fundamentally a manager. That makes some people uneasy, but it’s really his greatest asset.

There are successful CEO’s who are able to successfully manage a tech company, for example, and then leave and have just as much success running a company in a totally different field.

They’re successful, not because they know everything about computers, cars, etc., but because they’re quick learners, able to size up problems quickly, know how to surround themselves with competent advisers, and are able to grasp the essentials of a subject matter quickly, and solve problems. This may be a better qualification for a President than being an expert on any one subject matter. policy wonk.

....”In the end they say the same thing as Trump on any given subject, it just takes them a whole lot longer to get there”.....

That’s not true at all....there’s a difference between a woman of natural beauty and one who has to layer makeup to appear as one. Though both might look pretty attractive...one is the real deal and the other just appears as so.

“So they have been eagerly anticipating the day they can report he’s leveled off. They then are eagerly anticipating the day they can report his support is falling and dwindling”

They reported this exact thing tonight at the opening of Megyn Kelly’s show, and they used this graph to demonstrate it visually.

Why Carson? There are almost a million physicians in this country, many of whom are minority members. He was a little stern with Mr. Obama at a prayer breakfast? That qualifies him for the hardest job in the world?

Some pople are talkers. Some people are doers. I’m sick of talkers personally. Obama is very articulate btw.

That's that famous impartial journalism I'm always searching for.

A total waste of 30 seconds I'll never get back.
Written by loudmouths I hope I never hear of again.

No thanks....Trumps not going to be able to tell a foreign representative to read his book when doing deals and negotiating on behalf of our country...he better have the facts to deal with ‘and know them’....

If he can’t speak concisely about the issues now or very soon....then he simply won’t carry the voters when they have other choices of those who do know and can readily articulate them, and this with understanding of what they are talking about.

Well Jeb Bush always tells people to read his book too, the one that someone else wrote for him.

Maybe you are right about Trump not carrying voters, and maybe you are wrong, but I’ll tell you this.

I’m not going to vote for a GOPE candidate no matter how smoothly they can lie to me.

Done with them forever.

Your analogy further bolsters my point. Trump is simple and natural, the others need layer upon layer of flowery distraction. You're quite right.
