BEN CARSON WINS ! BEN CARSON WINS ! BEN CARSON WINS ! ADVERTISEMENT
It was last month, amid the failing direct GOPe attacks against Donald Trump, when we predicted Wall Street/Team Jebs approach would shift to promoting Ben Carson instead. We even shared their targeted date to peak Carson would be the CNN debate. All media (Madison Ave., Hollywood, Park Row) would be called in for the assist.
Iowa poll okay for Trump, if right, but terrific for Ben Carson, also topping favorability by very big margin.

Well?
.. After two weeks of continual pro-Carson push, tonight -coincidentally- SURPRISE !! Maryland announces Ben Carson wins the month long straw Poll:

The article made no sense. Was Murdoch's response to the Iowa poll which indicated Carson was in a surge suppose to mean something other than the fact he may be surging?
I notice you post a lot of anti-Trump comments.
Have you changed anyone’s mind yet?
God Bless Carson. He is hurting Bush & Co not Trump.
Pray America is waking
“We need Patton, not Dr Welby. “
ROFL How true!
They want Trump and Carson to take each other out so Jeb(!) can get in.
Perhaps we need to learn who are his donors
I don’t know how much you know about the world of academic medicine, but here are some qualities you absolutely must possess to rise to his level:
1. Serious smarts.
2. Political savvy.
3. The ability to accurately judge who knows what they’re talking about and who doesn’t.
4. The ability to form a team of experts (see #3) who know more about things than you do, and to listen to them.
5. The ability to form a plan, get advice on it, tweak it accordingly, “sell” it to your subordinates, and the courage to carry it through to completion.
6. The ability to accurately and dispassionately assess risks and potential rewards, plan to minimize the risks and maximize the rewards.
7. The ability to stay the course and adjust the plan under pressure when things don’t go according to plan.
8. The ability to engage your enemies on your terms and to execute your plan despite their opposition.
9. The ability to plan for both the foreseeable and unforeseeable difficulties that might arise.
10. The humility to know what you know, and to know what you don’t know.
11. A firm and clear awareness of who you are, where you came from, how you got to where you are, and who (and what) helped you get there.
These are the qualities I want in a president. They can be found in many people who have never been elected to political office. I remember reading many times on this forum how Freepers appeal to the “citizen statesman”. Now that we have several potential such citizen statesmen in the race it’s disheartening to see so many Freepers disqualify one of them because he’s “too nice”. Being “nice” is neither a qualification nor a disqualification.
Ben Carson has exactly the personal qualifications he needs to be an effective president. He’s smart enough to surround himself with others who share his vision and have the specific knowledge to carry it out.
I urge you to make your decision not on the fact that he has never been elected to public office, but rather on whether or not you agree with his positions on the issues.
I suspect that a lot of it comes down to how high up these people rate problems with Obamacare on their list of things that need to be fixed. Who better than a doctor with a seemingly effective bedside manner.
Older people want to know their Medicare will be there for them when they have health issues. They don’t work so they don’t care about illegals taking their jobs.
Our family is concerned about employment, taxes, regulations, the diluting of American traditions and heritage, lack of morality and a whole host of things other than medical care. Just depends on your priorities who you pick. Picking any doctor as president would be last on our list, particularly if that was their only professional qualification.
Are they talking about the State Maryland? Heck its always blue as can be. You mean they actually have any GOP there? The poll must have been 2 of the 3 republicans there liked Carson
sorry.... no Carson.
Really? Uncle Ben beats Trump, really? Even with his pro amnesty, pro Affirmative Action and being okay with sell aborted baby parts positions?
Anybody who thinks Uncle Ben can actually win the general please raise your hand. “Hey Karl, stop that you know it isn’t happening.”
There’s no length to which the GOP-e won’t go to sink the anti-establishment candidates.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
