FOX News o TV | 9 Sep 2015 | Trebb

Woo Hoo! Just listened to Cruz start off the anti-Iran Deal rally.

He laid it out in a way that shows how worthy he is of our support.

“Cruz voted for the Corker bill that gave this deal to Obama.”

Correct:
Trumpets don’t seem to realize that without the passage of the Corker Bill the Iran Nuke Deal would have been signed, sealed and delivered already. No congressional debate or approval would have been available.

Anyway Cruz was great today

“Trump loses me with the constant name calling and insults.”

That’s why my daughter doesn’t like Trump. As for Kerry and Obama being stupid? Of course they are. That’s why they need a teleprompter to order dinner.

TBEL writes...And...given his past political contributions and policy positions...I don’t trust DT either.

And I am not impressed with his bombast and bluster as well as constant name calling and insults and his petty, narcissistic personality...all a big turn off as far as I am concerned.

I can't add anything because I cannot state it more succinctly than have you, my FRiend.

That said, I am working on a longer essay re the life-long Dem called Donald Trump. I might post it here as a vanity. I am a bit concerned that it might overly roil the Trumpetologists hereabouts to the highest of high dudgeon; yet my intent is merely that of thorough and principled discussion, not argument.

Reagan was a democrat for over a decade. So what is your point? Both are idiots for evolving?

Explain to your daughter, Trump never attacks first. But when attacked first, he is a good counter puncher.

I bet Ayatollah in Iran will be careful when Trump is the president.

I still like Trump, but after listening to Cruz open the deal, then listening to trump, it was the difference between listening to Mozart and a kid banging on a pot. Plus, I was a little miffed when Trump "stepped on Cruz's toes" by using the words, "When I'm President". Cruz introduced Trump as his friend and then used words like "When there's a President not named Obama" vs. making it a contest - they were supposed to eb there for a common goal/reason.

All that said:

GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!!

Just gave the teaser so I could get back for some of Trump’s statements and whatever else would be shown - figured that folks with access to a TV could catch some of it or look for replays...

Cruz was excellent. Trump too. Great Rally, I hope America is listening.

I hope McConnell, Boehner, the rest of the Congress, and the banks were listening...

All Obama needs is 34 votes. Cruz set up that low threshold. He can talk all he wants now but it is hypocritical. He cannot undo his vote. End of day the deal is done. The Brits have already reopened their embassy, everything is coming undone. Trump at least has a viable solution—enforce and renegotiate the deal.

Trump didn't have a part in the slimy politicking that went on. Cruz explained why he voted and even though it still turned out crappy, it gave folks like him time to bring it out in the open. As I said to others, around our home, stale bread gets fed to the birds and squirrels.

GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!!

No no - he voted for the Corker Bill so he’s really secretly in the bag for Iran, doncha know? (At least that’s what I’ve been told by the Trumpettes here on FR.)

Yep - so smart that they're stupid. I tell them that stale bread is made to be fed to squirrels and birds....

Cruz voted for the Corker bill.

My God but it's frustrating to have those incapable of grasping the reality of what goes on in Washington and those who will fight for every possible inch in our behalf. He tried to delay the treachery and it was negated by Obama's extra steps of treachery in the "deal".

GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!!

What bs are you talking about? He voted to gut the Senate’s role in treaty ratification—and that gutting is why we’re where we are on this.

Look at what others are adding to my criticism of your grasp of things, take a long shower, eat some aspirin, and donate money to whoever you believe is the best candidate.

You do donate don't you? Which candidate gets your money? I donate to Cruz monthly and to FR 1-3 times per quarter. Where do you invest your money?

Once we get some answers about who we're working with, we may opt to try to explain things at the lowest level necessary to insure comprehension.

It’s none of your business what I do with my money.

And the FR excuses for Cruz on both the Corker bill and TPP/TPA are embarrassing.

That said, Cruz is about as good as we’ve got. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t note publicly the (IMO) shortcomings—including that all of the GOP candidates for president back amnesty for illegals (though they play games with the semantics and try to divert attention with other immigration policy).

Sorry double speak. That’s unfortunately Cruz’s MO on key issues—offer an amendment that doesn’t pass and then vote with the McConnell GOPe majority.
