New York Times – Top Republican / GOP Strategists Planning Coordinated Destroy Trump Campaign…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 9-4-2015 | sundance

There is a solid argument to be made that forcing Donald Trump to sign the Republican Pledge was step one in this RNC/GOPe strategy. He’s now locked in the Thunderdome!

When you fully understand the scope of how the Republican National Committee organized the entire road map to elect Jeb Bush, you begin to understand why Reince Priebus needed to lock the door behind Trump before unleashing the thugs upon him.

Hundreds of millions will be spent on this RNC/GOPe effort to destroy Trump. It will be unlike any scorched earth campaign ever witnessed. The brutality of the intended targeting is so severe, even the New York Times is willing to broadcast the bloodbath.

New York Times – Quiet conversations have begun in recent weeks among some of the Republican Party’s biggest donors and normally competing factions, all aimed at a single question: How can we stop Donald Trump?

Republican strategists and donors have assembled focus groups to test negative messages about Mr. Trump. They have amassed dossiers on his previous support for universal health care and higher taxes. They have even discussed the creation of a “super PAC” to convince conservatives that Mr. Trump is not one of them.

Donald Trump on Kentucky clerk: Same-sex marriage the 'law of the land

That's not his fight. Trump is a big-picture person and this issue will take care of itself. His main focus is securing the borders, fighting for fair trade deals, and eliminating the crony capitalists in government.

Interesting screen name there! I learned to love that movie when I was on a submarine. We watched it at least once a week.

RNC = Leftwing Big Govt Liberals/Cront Socialists.

RNC has nothing in common with the Conservative Republican Party except that they control the leadership.

Trump is OUR battle ready voice to defeat these leftists in the primaries and the leftists/communists in the general.

GOPe would rather lose the presidency than win with a person who will upset their corrupt money deals and ability to hold onto power. At least if the Democrats win, they still have the money deals, illegals overrunning the country and the ability to keep the conservatives from power.

I don’t think they care whether Jeb wins the General or not. They think they can control Hillary or Biden, with a slight preference for Biden. Jeb, Hillary, Biden - all birds of a feather.

The main objective is to maneuver Trump and other uncontrollables out of the Republican nomination.

Even most of Trump’s ardent supporters seem to often say there are things they disagree with him on. So the chinks in the armor there. If the GOPe trains fire on those vulnerabilities, there is a chance they could take him down.

But taking down Trump doesn’t mean Jeb goes up in the polls, as Trump himself wisely pointed out this week. Ben Carson might go to the top. Or Ted Cruz. And then we’re back in the Romney situation, where he had to keep putting out negative ads on every new competitor that cropped up. We can assume that every negative about every competitor will come out. So it may be a survival of the fittest. I would guess that Ted Cruz would be the most likely to survive a negative blitz, because he doesn’t have many weak points. All they could hit him on is the government shutdown, which won’t hurt him with conservatives at all. They can’t hit him on inexperience like they can Carson.

It’ll “take care of itself” as well as abortion has in the 43 years since Roe vs. Wade. This is not the kind of issue that “takes care of itself.” It’s the kind of issue that needs to be vigorously and actively fought on all fronts if anything is going to change at all.

They GOPe will never support anyone they can't control
If Jeb doesn't win the nomination the GOPe will not back the nominee unless he agrees with their agenda

Attracting democrat voters and Independents will be absolutely necessary

Trump’s Secret - He’s One of Us

snip

If the duped electorate can’t see past Trump, the party will come to the rescue.

So they turn to the states to do their dirty work. This way the GOP can blame states for the Trump attacks and abdicate any responsibility. In reality this is no more an out-clause than Caesar washing his hands after sending Jesus to the cross. It’s obvious who’s driving the bus.

But state comrades follow orders and move to pass a new election law. Candidates will have to sign a pledge that they won’t run 3rd party in order to get on the ballot. Clearly this ‘law’ is to corner Trump since he already refused to take that pledge on national TV. So, facts in hand, these legislators whip up a brand spanking new law designed to stop a candidate they fear; how very totalitarian of them.

“People are somewhat perplexed by the whole Trump phenomenon,” said Ray Washburne, a Dallas businessman who is Gov. Chris Christie’s finance chairman.

Could they really be this stupid???

But the club’s president, David McIntosh, said his group was still grappling with how to handle the protean Mr. Trump, whose appeal is based less on policy positions than on tapping into the raw anger of Republican voters against Washington leaders.

More ignorance...The anger is from the policy positions that the GOPe have embraced as well as policy positions they campaigned on but now refuse to support...

“Part of our research has been why would a conservative Republican voter find this appealing,” Mr. McIntosh said. “A wonkish explanation that trade is actually good for the country probably won’t assuage them.”

They are not conservatives...They insult the name...But yes, we like trade...But we like fair trade...We like trade that will benefit America...NOT the trade these guys foisted upon us...

What is interesting about Trump is that he is pulling in Independents, Democrats and Conservatives so they are stymied as to how to take him down. They tried to shake the conservatives by painting him as unreligious, anti-military, and lacking the temperament to be president. They tried to shake the others by making him look sexist. Whatever they do, they wish to be stealth about it and they hope it works. The reason nothing has worked so far is because those GOPe who are against him are viewed as traitors, liars, corrupt, dangerous to the country, and as sellouts. The country lost faith, hope and trust in them and now they are ineffective in their schemes.

If Trump flip flops on his pledge it won’t faze me a bit...I’ll just laugh at the RNC while pulling the 3rd Party lever for Trump...

The only one I will vote for is Trump and/or Cruz. Case closed and that goes for everyone I know. IMO, JEB can go pound sand in Mexico.

I’ll believe this BS when I see it happen. This TCTH article is nothing more than a regurgitation of a new york times article from today. neither the TCTH nor the NTY articles offer one particle of actual evidence that what they’re claiming is true. it’s funny though, people rightfully doubt the veracity of the NYT, but when TCTH publishes the same article under their own banner, then suddenly it’s supposed to be true.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/05/us/politics/talk-in-gop-turns-to-a-stop-donald-trump-campaign.html?smid=tw-share&_r=0

There may or many not be a massive attack on Trump after labor day, but so far I’ve seen zero actual evidence such an attack is going to occur. Personally, I kind of doubt it. Latest poll shows Trump favored by 66% of GOP voters, has a 59/29 favorability rating, leading all demo groups, including male, female, young, old, moderate, conservative and liberal GOP members.

The GOPe would simply be committing suicide to attack a candidate like that. I know they’re stupid, but I don’t think that they’re THAT stupid.

Is the Republic National Committee so insulated from reality that they think Jeb Bush would be electable? The answer, it seems, is yes. They are playing from a very old script. There are many better candidates in the pool of people who have thrown their hats in the ring. They should take a vacation and let the American people do what they are apparently incapable of doing - finding the man who can win. RNP is working at cross purposes to their alleged reason for being.

It's old hat with them...I believe Bush could and would win if Trump wouldn't have shown up...They have hundreds of millions of dollars to fight Trump with...They have the strategies to foil and manipulate the campaigns of the other contenders...

They have people in there who have no intention of running for the position but are there only to manipulate votes...

Nope. Some conservatives pick issues that are not the issue that wakes Americans up. Too many people have gay family members or friends.

Look at abortion, 42 years since the law was passed. Now we have the most heinous videos and Rand Psul’s buddy Mitch won’t send the Darn bill to shut them down to Obama! Make him veto poop! I would send that traitorous Predident so many darn bills he won’t have time to play golf!!!!!!!

Sorry got a little side tracked. My point is get off the moral issues. (For now). Focus on the issue that is waking people up! Don’t be stupid!
