School Reportedly Bans Superhero Lunchboxes Because Superheroes Are Too ‘Violent’ by KATHERINE TIMPF August 28, 2015
There was no actual violence on the offending lunchbox. A little girl named Laura was reportedly sent home from school with a note informing her parents that she could no longer bring her lunchbox to school because it had a picture of Wonder Woman on it and was therefore too violent. Note: There was absolutely no actual violence displayed on the lunchbox — just a picture of Wonder Woman holding the Lasso of Truth.
But apparently, even that image is just too graphic to be on school grounds: “The dress code we have established requests that the children not bring violent images into the building in any fashion – on their clothing (including shoes and socks), backpacks and lunch boxes,” reads a letter sent home to Laura’s parents, Daniel and Sarah, according to The Mary Sue. Damn! Does that bring back a memory! My drawings were American fighters rolling in on some caught out in the open Jap or Nazi troops or boats. (I even used a ruler to keep the .50 Cal. rounds our guys fired streaming into their targets accurately!) Heads, arms, legs......complete destruction! That and the empty .22LR cases I usually had lined up on my desk must have made somebody think I was bonkers but I never got told to cool it. SWAT team for the kiddies today if they did that stuff! (PS: Your B-17 drawings must have been pretty cool. Guess I never thought of that!)
And what would they do with a DAVY CROCKETT LUNCH lunch box I wanted but could not find back in 1955! I had to settle fir a ROY ROGERS lunch box.
Reminds me of two PLAYBOY cartoons from around 1968, but I won’t go there!

I thought of that. I had that lunch box, which dpeicted, IIRC, a bear leaping over a fallen tree trunk towards our hero, at the ready.
I remember asking my mom if the tree trunk was the "timber bar" of the song. She had a tough time explaining it.

My father worked for McDonnell-Douglas and brought home pictures of different planes, so aircraft were always favorite subjects for drawings. I got pretty good at Phantoms, Mercury and Gemini capsules, etc..

I side with the school, but likely not for the same reasons.
Was just reading on FR the other day that DC decided to have Wonder Woman “officiate” a gay wedding. Turned my stomach.
So, kid should get a new lunchbox. My opinion only.
Classic modern liberals:
They cannot distinguish between bad violence (ISIS, #BlackLivesMatter thugs, Michael Brown roughing up a store clerk), and good violence (our military, Wonder Woman, and a cop shooting a deserving thug).
They cannot distinguish between bad immigration (any illegal) and good immigration (legal immigrants following the law).
They cannot distinguish between real marriage (heterosexual monogamy) and fake relationships (polygamy, gay “marriage”).
Liberals are people who reject reality, while claiming to follow science, and then parrot the most anti-science phrase imaginable - “the science is settled”.
How about lunch boxes featuring Stalin, Mao, Hitler and Mussolini? Bet they wouldn’t be seen as too violent. After a week they’d be required.
What a lame story...no mention of the school, town, county or even state. No mention if it is private school or public school or special education school. What a crock.

If they suddenly wiped all males off the face of the earth, they would still be blaming the Patriarchy for their self-inflicted pathologies for 10,000 years afterwards.
The “violence” angle is just a ruse to hide the main intent; most of our action heroes are white and that has to scrubbed from the minds of the students.
I know liberals support malleability of gender, to break down those barriers and make homosexuality thus more acceptable.
I didn’t think they endorsed the malleability of racial identity, except for all mixed raced people preferring the minority status over majority.
