‘Dream ticket’ Trump, Cruz to announce ‘something very big over the next two weeks in Washington’

Ted Cruz and Donald Trump have united to fight the Iran nuclear agreement.

On Thursday, the Texas senator invited the real estate mogul to join him in rallying against the deal on the Capitol grounds, and Trump accepted.

The two Republican presidential candidates said they would do “something very big over the next two weeks in Washington.”

Trump made his announcement after a campaign rally in South Carolina, referring to Cruz as “a friend of mine and a good guy.”

The event will be sponsored by Tea Party Patriots, the Center for Security Policy, and the Zionist Organization of America, campaign spokesman Catherine Frazier told The Blaze.

“We are thankful for all their hard work on this effort, and will have more details on time, date, and location as they are finalized,” she said.

Trump, author of “The Art of the Deal,” also gave his thoughts on the Iran deal.

“By the way, even if you break it up, they are going to get $150 billion,” he said. “You know what I’d do? I wouldn’t give them the money. I don’t care what the deal — I would not give them the money.”244100#ixzz3k7FgqQja

That is so not happening.

Cruz ought to be grateful if he gets a ride on the Trump magic carpet.

Does anyone really think Cruz has a chance?

I know he’s the darling of FR, but polling seems to leave him behind.

Still concerned about his illegal stances. And not sure he just has any real charisma.

Not that this is all truly important, just looking at reality of how elections go.

Anything that’s bad for the GOPe is good for America.

95% of me loves it; 5% of me is paranoid that Trump sucked Cruz in at the behest of Hitlary and the GOPe to get rid of Cruz...

Trump-Cruz 2016. Count me in.

Not to minimize the team above but I'm going to crawl over broken glass to ensure I vote for anyone but Clinton-Biden-Sanders-Warren.

I would rather see Carson as V.P. and Cruz as Attorney General.

Cruz would have the ability to drain the swamp of the Islamic Infiltrators, prosecute the Bribery of Public Officials (McConnell, Boehner, Reid etc.) put a fork in the Clinton Cabal, keep Obama from doing the same thing, get Border Patrol back on the Border, deport criminal invaders, enforce E-Verify and shut down Sanctuary Cities from there.

As V.P. He would most likely be underutilized.

The problem with that part is that you end up with Boehner and McConnell, because somehow, they are "better" than those you mentioned. No, we desperately need to get away from that thinking. It's all or nothing, plain and simple. Trump/Cruz 2016, or get ready for another 8 years of dummycrats.

Given the age of the two men, Trump/Cruz could mean 16 years of holding the White House. That won’t work out the other way.

It will be the height of schadenfreude to watch Leftist heads explode at any combination of Cruz/Trump on the ticket.

Boehner called Cruz a "Jackass" Wednesday.

Cruz may not say anything, but I bet Trump will.

Not sure what will be best for conservatives but adding Cruz to a shaky Trump might make him completely untouchable.

I think you've got the 95% part right. If this were a Hitlary scheme, they would have gone after:

1. Carson - the only one currently polling in double digits behind Trump and somebody Trump hasn't lambasted.

2. Rubio - the candidate who currently polls with the highest favorability rating of all the candidates.

I don't think Hillary, at this point at least, is all that concerned about Cruz.

Also, imho, while they may do a few things together that are cool, I would highly doubt it's going to be something like a VP announcement this early on.

I don’t think Trump would serve eight years. More than likely he would want to make some major changes in the direction of the country, build a solid organization foundation to carry out the direction and then put a qualified leader to complete it.
Trump would serve a max of four years and turn it over to Cruz for eight more.

I’d rather it were Cruz/Trump ... but I’d take Trump/Cruz if that’s the way it shakes out.

At this point i could support it either way!

I agree with you...Trump will be 70 in 2016...4 years in he would turn it over...providing the beltway bureaucracy hasn’t blown up the country first
