Trump: Willing To Kill The Constitution In Order To Save It? I’m OK With That.
Michelle Obama's Mirror ^ | 8-27-2015 | MOTUS

Every day the media is filled with talking heads perplexed by the phenomenal success of The Donald.

cropped-logo400

They’ve no idea what is fueling his popularity, which in itself is indicative of their disconnect from the reality of our day-to-day existence. With a new poll showing The Donald in the lead among Republican candidates with a 40% share, heads are beginning to explode and shaky legs are beginning to crumble under the pollsters.

frank-luntz-pollster-600“This is real. I’m having trouble processing it. Like, my legs are shaking.” - Time

The only people more surprised about the appeal of The Donald than the media are members of the GOP elite (GOPe), the so called “establishment” and their consultants. The Ace of Spades addressed this the other day:

The vaunted consultant class does not know the most elemental things about the "constituency" they're paid to advise clients about. I put "constituency" in quotes because it's quite plain they do not consider the actual grassroots voter as their constituency. In fact, they do not consider them at all.

So I thought I’d take a minute today to explain why “a billionaire real estate mogul, TV celebrity and oft-accused demagogue who has never held office (is) leading the Republican field with some 22% [40% now] support in the polls?” It’s really quite simple: in the words of one of Frank Luntz’ focus group participants:

"We've got to show the Republicans that we've had it with them, that we will not be there every single time. They treat us like crap and they lie to us and promise us things and then they expect us to vote again,"

And with every indication that the GOPe powers-that-be intend to cram another moderate member of the Washington party down our throats, the natives are prepared to go Roman. They want change and they want it NOW. That’s where The Donald comes in.

In the field of R-word candidates, Trump stands alone. Not just because of his bombastic speech that expresses the sentiments of many other Americans. No, it’s because we sense that he - and he alone - has the hutzpah to grab the reins of what has been transformed into an imperial presidency under Obama and use them to reign - for the good of the American people this time.

imperial

To be a benign dictator if you will. Just for awhile, just until the Democrats realize what they’ve created with their Won and hustle around to take steps to dismantle it before the R-words can do any more damage. Which they will do, of course.

donald-trump-got-em-1024x536He may be a dictator, butt he’s OUR dictator.

The Donald’s supporters expect him to use his powers to undo much of the damage that the Won has inflicted on our once great Republic. And ask yourself, would anyone else – Cruz, Rubio, Walker…Bush – be willing to violate the Constitution in order to save the Constitution? I think not. And we sense that America needs someone who will. In order to “level the playing field” again and give our kids and grandkids a shot at enjoying an American life. And currently that someone exists only in the persona of The Donald: no matter how much you may like some of the others, he’s currently the only guy on the podium who actually knows how to seize the power at his disposal and use it to do what he thinks needs to be done to make America great again: deport illegal aliens? Boom. End anchor babies? Boom. Get rid of Obamacare and start over? Boom. Nullify the agreement with Iran? Boom, and I do mean Boom!

Yeah, it’s that simple. Americans are mad as hell, and they aren’t going to take it anymore. We want our country back. And we don’t really care how goofy your hair is as long as you’ll do that for us. Transform us back.

trump eagle2

So I say yes to The Donald: the only one willing to kill the Constitution in order to save the Constitution. And I mean that in a good way.

Using the same tactics to undo much of what Obama has done, that he used to do it in the first place, is not only permissible, but totally necessary. Constantly allowing an opponent to use tactics to gain an advantage that you will not use to reverse those advantages is not only stupid, but -self-destructive.

Ed Zactly.

That's why the American left might wanna think real hard and long about the fascist police-state iron-rule they are creating here. We might just have a Pinochet come along to set it straight.

This is flagrantly dishonest. Ted Cruz will do the same and he doesn't have baggage from his days on the left to explain. That's because he was never on the left. Cruz doesn't get the attention because it is all focused on Trump.....for now.

Trump hasn’t advocated “killing the Constitution”, that I am aware of.

Everything he’s said he’ll do, to “transform” us back to being a great country, again, can be done within the bounds of our Constitution. We have so many laws that aren’t even being enforced, now.

Once Trump is elected, and the wall is built, laws enforced and welfare and other *benefits* are restricted, folks will leave on their own.

He can do other things to diminish or reverse what destruction 0bola and the progressives - in both parties - have done, without “killing” the Constitution.

Respectfully disagree. When the enemy uses dangerous and new tactics, you must respond in kind, in order to level the playing field.

Now, the key is for our country, to set it back to normal AND THEN STOP. Like George Washington might have.

If the left comes up with bloody murderous hit squads and a tyranny of terror and torture, we must -- like Pinochet -- come up with bloody murderous hit squads and a tyranny of terror and torture until the leftist threat is removed..... Then return to a Republic.

I don’t understand this at all. I don’t support making anybody a dictator. I don’t support anybody killing the Constitution. I don’t know where people are getting the idea that Trump would do either of this.

But if those are the things that would have to come with Trump, then I’d have to ditch my support of him.

If this is the way the collective thought is going, than I highly suggest we dial it back.

Even if Trump would refuse dictatorial power, the fact that his adorers openly advocate for it is beyond troubling.

If they embrace tyranny once, they will do it again.

Now we’ve moved beyond individual posts advocating this kind of thing. We have a link to some blog calling for the killing of the Constitution.

I remember a few months ago when someone was immediately banned for proposing just that.

“this article just makes it all the more real”...
Not in any rational way.

Of course there’s always a risk the Constitution is so abused and misinterpreted that it is just a fiction. But some blogger’s ‘feelings’- which happen to produce a click-drawing headline- is scant evidence.

"The Donald’s supporters expect him to use his powers to undo much of the damage that the Won has inflicted on our once great Republic."

And they will be sorely disappointed. If the Donald wins the nomination you will seem him run to the middle so fast it will make your head spin. He will water down every position he's taking now. I do enjoy Trump and how he's shaking up the process and sticking it in the eye of the GOPe but I don't trust him for a second.

“The damage to the Constitution is done.”

Yes, I see it as having no more real world observance than if it had never existed. If we had a government that suddenly began to follow it that government would be condemned as illegitimate. Only a very tiny percentage of Americans actually have some idea of what the wording of the constitution is and fewer still have any idea of the true meaning now that we have courts up to and including the supreme court making up new meanings to suit their purpose. Maybe one in one thousand Americans are aware that the constitution guarantees a Republican form of government or what that means.

My question for all the candidates. If you could run and win dictatorial power, would you accept the job? Why or why not?

My answer would be, ""I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as, uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.”

And, that’s exactly why Trump is effective. He’s been on the other side and knows how they operate. This is what the GOPe and even conservatives don’t understand - they can’t win against the rats with their same old, tired methods. They need to use the left’s tactics on them, but, fail to see that. Yes, even Cruz is kind of blind to that fact.

Disinformation and dumb article.

Trump never said he would violate the Constitution. In fact, the article never spelled out just how Trump would violate it. It just claims he would.
