I started writing a collection of sarcastic definitions about a year or so ago for fun and have amassed roughly 50 words so far, so I made a page for them and was planning on doing a daily/almost daily flashcard like the one below.
Can any of you Freepers find a video clip of Bud Spencer in “Banana Joe” where he is told he must now have a permit to sell his bananas? He goes to the town hall and waits in line for hours to apply for his permit. Just as he gets up to the bureaucrat’s table, the guy says, “Closed for Lunch!”
Banana Joe picks up the little twerp, hangs him by the collar on a coat hook and proceeds to rummer stamp permits as fast as he can for everyone else in line.
You should apply for a grant from CMS to study the problem of bureaucracy as it impacts the delivery of medicine to the underserved.
Concurrently a grant from Dept of Ed, and Dept of Energy and Dept of Defense.
Of course, the goal of each study is to conclude that more, not less, bureaucracy is needed to reach the underserved. Why are more unqualified people not in the military? We need to study that. We need navigators that help them qualify.
You could get quite rich...and cynical.
