Well I think black minorities are left out of Obama’s American too.
When Trump finds his voice on that subject I think he’ll be awesome and get a huge % of the black vote (comparatively to past gop candidates).
Romney seemed ashamed to be rich while Trump is unabashedly boastful of it. That’s going to go a long way.
News Flash. It is not just “white male Republicans” who have pulled back in revulsion for what their country has become, it is people of every walk of life, and of a good many other persuasion than simply social and fiscal conservatives.
In fact, the “white male Republicans”, the core of the Establishment, have RESISTED the incursions that The Donald has made into what they always considered to be “their base”.
Only, the Establishment Republicans have deserted much of that base, and this is a desperate effort to get them to sit up and take notice of the phenomenon that is The Donald.
The Donald is NOT conservative, in the historical and generally accepted sense, and he is only nominally Republican, but he appeals to a wide swath of Americans, concerned citizens, who themselves do not necessarily identify with either conservatives or Republicans. And a whole lot of them just may be card-carrying Democrats.
For sure, a LOT of otherwise uncommitted folks, who are neither Democrat or Republican, the so-called “middle”, even including some “low-information” voters, all are aware of who The Donald is. Probably nobody in America can beat his current name recognition, maybe not even Oprah Winfrey.
Black males respect people who are rich and proud of it. It's the theme in almost every rap song.
I think Trump will pick up a lot of black voters simply by not pandering to them.
