I grew up in Connecticut in the general area of Pratt & Whitney, Colt Firearms, Sikorsky and General Dynamics, Electric Boat. We all knew we were target A-1
In other words, if you live on the East Coast you’re doomed.
Looks like 4/5 of the U.S. is in the “Death zone.
Oh well
Someone actually created that for content and put it on their website?? What an ass.
“evacuate when a bomb goes off”?? Really... The whole map is red. So unless there’s a jet pack in my ass and a 3 day delay between the first bomb and the rest, I don’t stand a chance in hades of making it to some remote area of Nevada. Then again, if that’s my only salvation, I think I’ll just drink my wine cellar and die in peace.

Given prevailing west to east winds and nuclear fallout, the safest places to be will be North California and most of Oregon. However, given that the government of these two states is antagonistic towards fiscal sanity and small government, I’ll just admire the mushrooms and glow in the dark!
This crap again???
This “attack Map” is hugely outdated, and based on a late-70’s FEMA Targets study. Many of the installations shown as targets, especially the factories, Chemical sites, etc., are long gone, as are some of the bases.
We lived with this all through the cold war. Why is it being “discovered” or worried about now?
For me, yes. I'm smack dab in the midst of the largest concentration of red on the east coast. So it should be over quick.
Which is fine by me. All the preppers and other survivors can eek out a living farming off radioactively contaminated soil and water, giving birth to children with 5 heads or the ability to turn invisible. (That sounds kinda cool actually). Enjoy suckers!!
Ill be comfortably dead, vaporized in a nanosecond. Can't have a much better death I don't think.
Strategic level warhead targets would be arable land, not military, production, or population centers.
San Fernando Valley, ground zero to be determined by the prevailing wind.
Maybe Nebraska, or Kansas.
I'd just go outside and watch....
SoCal is so red I can probably stop building my bunker now. We won’t have time to bend over and kiss our butts goodbye.
Isle Royale in Lake Superior looks like a winner, but I would stay on top of the hill in case there way a blast generated wave from Duluth/Superior.
If an EMP would take us back to the Stone Age, why waste resources?
Just set one off about 300 miles up and let nature take its course. No messy radiation to deal with.
All the while, warnings from Russia to get ready for their nukes are ignored by the majority of north americans. After years of provocation, the toppling od the democratically elected president of Ukraine and a push to topple Moscow, Russia is ready to move. There is a coup at the top out of frustration that the leadership is too fat and happy and corrupt to stop the moslem takeover of white Russia and there is the fear that the new world order that now owns the USA will take Russia. Our top 100 metro areas get nuked. Russia has hacked the white house, the pentagon and every government office worth worrying about. They know what we are going to do before we do. The next war will be sort of a rolling ww3 with the media playing down the seriousness of anything. The final blow for the usa is starvation and winter weather.
Check out the army, navy and air force bases installed in the arctic by the Russians. They have also built 5000 new shelters in Moscow alone since 2012. But who cares when we live in a diverse and socially progressive country with wonderful welfare benefits, free college tuition for anyone except white citizens and free healthcare for any one who can apply online?
This is the John Titor scenario if any one cares.
When I moved here, I joked I had a ringside seat for WWIII. Still do.
We will get hit on both coasts with slightly off shore ship nukes way before that map would happen, and for sure our area is among the first strike areas.
Then the Yosemite super volcano blows and it’s over for North America anyway.
