"Why do I have to repent or ask for forgiveness, if I am not making mistakes?" asked Trump. "I work hard, I'm an honorable person."

I actually saw Cruz Friday. He is my favorite, too.
Read my ENTIRE post and answer every line I posted.
Stop using liberal tactics of picking one line from a 20 line post, out of context.
Your long-winded rant is irrelevant. What matters is you are willing to throw your support behind a known liberal, meaning you have bought into his ruse. Nothing else matter, really.
I think people are wanting to see that to defend him. I do. I mean, I’m open to someone trying to convince me I’m wrong.
Cooper followed up asking Trump if “asking for forgiveness” is a central tenet in his faith life.
“I try not make mistakes where I have to ask forgiveness,” Trump answered.
When further asked about repentance again by Cooper, Trump said “I think repenting is terrific.”
“Why do I have to repent or ask for forgiveness, if I am not making mistakes?” asked Trump. “I work hard, I’m an honorable person.”
What part of that exactly lends itself to “He’s talking about business or his relationship with the media?” He was asked a direct question about asking for forgiveness as it relates to his faith, and he said, “I try not to have to ask for forgiveness”. He then follows up by claiming he doesn’t make mistakes.
Last I checked, we ALL make mistakes, in God’s eyes, as the Romans 3 verse quoted points out. And taking communion isn’t a form of repentance. It’s recognizing what Jesus Christ did on the cross and honoring that out of gratitude- which was done because, yeah, we all make mistakes and sin- including Trump.
If people don’t really care whether he’s a Christian or not, that’s fine. But there’s no need to distort and twist things to justify that.
I’m saying it. I’m seeing eerie similarities between the crowd of people who got caught up in Obamamania in 2008 and the crowd of people getting caught up in Trumpmania right now. Both made a lot of promises and deal out their own version of “hope and change” rhetoric. But do they have the background and the record to back that up?
This is true. If Trump is a Christian, he’s a “cultural Christian only”.
And with that said, I respect those who are praying for him. There are more important things for Donald Trump than whether or not he’s the next nominee or next president.
Then keep living with the scum illegals.
That line reminds me of movie character Frank White in “The King of New York” when he said, “I only killed people who deserved it”. Well The Donald can take out those who deserve it right now verbally and I love it.
I wish that bus would come my way. I wouldn’t mind meeting Ted.
Thanks, caww! I’ll go take a look.
smh Where’s the bottom? Every word this man speaks will be twisted & reversed to suit the agenda. Those who take Christ’s teaching to heart will see it for what it is.
LMAO!! VERY good!
This answer is in response to why isn’t he apologizing for the “outrageous” comments he’s supposed to have made. He hasn’t made any. Liberal are the gope are leveling these charges, but trump isn’t falling for this tired old schtick. If he apologizes because of their manufactured outrage he’s done.
Personally, I understand that.
I also fully believe that there are “campaign conservatives” as Cruz called them. Heck, Jeb TRIED to come across as conservative on Common Core when he blathered some nonsense about state’s rights.
I think we all know the media is going to attack the conservative Republican, or even the Republican nominee whether he’s conservative or not.
That didn’t start with Trump.
Scott, I didn’t know Jesus in a very real way until I was 35......and I had been in church .....grew up in church (Baptist) all my life
If you had asked me before 35 if I was a Christian, I would have said.....Of course
But I didn’t know Jesus as Lord of my life until He broke me to get my attention.
I want Trump to know Him in a very real way....
.....meantime, I believe God can use this man
Excellent prayer!
I join you!
That’s my ode, don’t wear it out.
Its perfect for this thread.
We can take pride in a great empire but in the end there will be nothing.
I'm not knocking Cruz. I respect him for his courage to stand up in the congressional chamber before his fellows and call out, by name, the men who have colluded to undermine our nation's security and moral underpinnings. I believe that Cruz is a genuinely brave and righteous man. Cruz is a watchdog on the hilltop watching out for the wolf, and he serves us well in that capacity.
But it's too late for the watchdog. The wolves are already among the sheep.
What this country needs now is a bear- a fearless, vicious, cunning bear who knows intimately well how things work, and who knows which politician's palms are coated with the most grease. (Remember that uneasy silence among the career politicians on that debate platform when Trump mentioned casually that he had given money to many of them?) We need a bear that can go out and slaughter the wolves quickly and decisively.
Cruz makes brave- but ultimately Quixotic- moral stands. And it must be said that right now, Cruz can't do anything more than that in his current position. I would love to see him in more of a position where he can succeed. But honestly, his scope of authority as president won't change many things either, beyond rescinding the illegal executive actions. We still have three branches of government. Cruz can't control them all, regardless of how righteous he may be. The only reason the current bastard in the WH can is because he knows he can ignore the law with impunity, thanks to the complicity of both congress and SCOTUS.
I am no great fan of Donald Trump at a personal level, but I support him for one reason: he is, more than any other candidate, in a most advantageous position to take the battle to the PC nazis and traitors who have enslaved our children and crushed our freedom. In short, Trump fights.
What is more, he fights ruthlessly and unapologetically, and he hits hard. He fights as one with the full certainty that he will not lose. He refuses to be intimidated. He hits his enemies with anything that isn't nailed down, and comes back a second time with whatever he can pry up. He's a bear.
As much as I respect and admire Cruz, I personally don't think he would be what we most need, at least not quite yet, and here is why: Our enemy is holding a knife to the throat of this nation. We need a mean SOB who is going to kick our enemies- foreign and domestic- in the balls, smash their hands with a brick, and curb-stomp them until their brains leak out. A war like that, where our enemy is happy to fight dirty and slaughter innocents, is no place for a gentleman.
Just like Patton took the war to the Axis in a way that Eisenhower could not, Trump can decisively kick ass in a way that Cruz cannot. (The fact that Cruz said nothing regarding the Fox anchors' abhorrent conduct throughout that farce of a 'debate' tells me that he is too much of a gentleman to wage war without restraint.)
I am personally hoping for a Trump/Cruz ticket for that reason. Let the bear kill the wolves and restore order to the pasture. Then let the watchdog take over.
.
what nonsense ... Donald Trump is in the “hit-man” political crosshairs in a life-and-death battle ...
I’d sure rather him have him covering my back in a fight rather than some wimpy American Christian pastor !
and secretly ... you feel the same ... but your ‘umble public piety makes its impossible for you to admit ...
