Lois Lerner: Lincoln Should’ve Let the South Go Instead of Civil War
Mediaite ^ | August 7, 2015 | Ken Meyer

Most Americans tend to agree that Abraham Lincoln was one of this country’s better presidents, having saved the nation from imploding on itself with the Civil War. Former IRS chief Lois Lerner, however, does not apparently have the same thoughts about keeping the South in the union.

“Look my view is that Lincoln was our worst president not our best,” Lerner wrote in 2014. “He should (have) let the south go. We really do seem to have 2 totally different mindsets.”

The Senate Finance Committee released a report yesterday that examined 1.5 million pages of IRS emails. A significant focus has gone to the fact that Lerner had a pattern of deriding conservatives as “crazies” and “^^^holes,” as well as the allegations that her leadership mismanaged the applications of Tea Party groups seeking tax-exempt status

“The report clearly shows that conservative groups were singled out because of their political beliefs, and gross mismanagement at the IRS allowed this practice to continue for years,” said Sen. Orrin Hatch.

Lerner is still reeling from renewed backlash after yesterday’s reports suggested that she once targeted an organization that once paid a fee to Bristol Palin.

Well, I did not think that it would be possible but I have finally agreed with something that this twerp said.

Yes, he did, but he didn’t waste time with any amendments to the Constitution to support it. He hated red tape. ;-)

I agree with Lois...The war of Northern aggression could have been averted and the South was already making progress toward the elimination of slavery and would have, given time for adjustments to the labor force.

So you are spot on there gal pal..... lol

Lois Lerner: Lincoln Should’ve Let the South Go Instead of Civil War

Coulda; woulda;shoulda.

If we're going to play that game...

This country would've been much better off if Lois Lerner had been aborted or had never been born.

This country would've been much better off is Obama had been aborted or had never been born.

This country would've been much better off is liberal ideology had disappeared from the face of the planet.

This country should've put all communists in prison, and we would've been much better off.

If you believe that then you should be able to name something - anything - that the slavers did toward "making progress toward the elimination of slavery". The fact is that the confederates enshrined the Peculiar Institution for all time in their constitution.

I know you were being facetious, but he did bring about the first income tax.

He did, beating the rebels by 19 months with his 3% flat rate income tax to their progressive income tax.

Well, they were. There were a growing number of free slaves,,they did not get treated well in all cases, but the numbers were growing.

Secondly, the south had a number of black slave owners at the outbreak of the war.

Lastly, numerous southern freed slaves fought with the confederacy, a fact often glossed over by northern history writers.

It would have taken time, for sure, because the labor force for the plantations had yet to be created and the costs of that would have been sizable and that cost would need to be passed on to the northern mills. Something they were not at all willing to pay.

The war was not about slavery anyway...it was a side issue.

If that were so then why would a few northeastern states seriously consider joining exodus from the federal government, along with the south. It was only federal threat and intimidation that caused them to shelve the idea..

By the way rockrr. You used the term “slavers” to indicate as if they were a large group..They were not..

The ownership of slaves in the south was largely confined to the plantations...Counts were made over the years to determine how many people had anything at all to do with it, and the numbers were less than 5%.

There were far more slave and indentured servant owners in the North.

Lois Lerner should be in an orange jumpsuit. Hillary would look good in one, too.

My family fought for the North so if the country had split, Lois might have Sara and all her conservative Christian kin as her neighbors. Instead, we are all in the South.

I’ve lived in the north and I know it is not all one thing. There are plenty of normal people that live along side the communists. I’ve lived in the South and know there are plenty of Commie freedom and God haters here that live along side the normal people.

The woman is inbred...simple minded. She should get out of the house more often. She does not even understand her own Nation, culture and people. She’s like a foreigner in her own country. She’d be happier in Europe. Probably France.

Looks to me like the Democrats/Socialists/Leftists have been working to destroy this country since at least the 1860’s.

Some of us don’t stand with them.
