To me an ^openly^ gay scoutmaster would not be a problem in that I can withhold my child from his influence (join another troop or another “scouting” concern available in the area. I’d be much more concerned about “stealth” gay scout-masters. These are the creeps who will sue the BSA for improper dismissal
Will BSA ask such ^openly^ gay “men” to sign a waiver/admission that are openly gay in an effort to provide the proper choice and decision by parents?
The BSA will now probably be allowed back into the pervert public schools to recruit

Or consider BECOMING Scoutmasters and Cubmasters and keep control.
Troops are very localized and operate at the energy and direction of their adult leader teams
BSA has wonderful traditions and lots of facilties and opportunities
Just say NO to marching in “pride” orgies. Anyone proposes it just say, like, YGBSM
Yeah some troops will have trouble, many because stupid parents just dump the kids and don’t pay attention and get involved
or because some liberal soccer moms will think they need to show how unprejudiced they are and they will sacrifice their sons to Caitlyn’s Troop Beverly Hills And that image of children marching in sex parades will TARNISH the organization and it will wither and maybe dies
But because of this, for now, Don’t run away, face it, some things are worth fighting for. Scouting at the level it is delivered to kids is LOCAL and ultimately parent controlled

All the kneejerk saying “My kid will never be in Scouts” well, will your kid ever be in softball or football or on swim team? Do sports teams allow homosexual coaches?
What about schools- public private you name it- all allow homosexual teachers. Never going to have your kid in school either?
Music lessons, martial arts schools.. do they forbid homosexuals? Even church youth groups and youth ministriess. Forbid homosexuals?
No. You have to keep an eye on it

Actually they think (mistakenly) that such a waiver/admission will protect them from litigation (well, that is probably true in the 9th Circuit) for any suit brought from a parent claiming harm to their children at the hands of an “admitted” homosexual.
All-in-all, I would that parents litigate for “propagation of indecency with a minor” for even discussing their so-called lifestyle with their charges.
That said, the BSA will crumble to dust with in the quintennium.

I do homeschool but that is NOT an option for many many people.
Staying home, keeping your kids in the house, blowing upthe TV and thinking that shields your kids from homosexuality is no real solution
I lead Girl Scouts and participate as a volunteer in Venture Scouts and both are wonderful.
I know where my kids are on weekends and I know every adult they are with. I choose.
They are not going to treat homosexuals like criminals on probation. They are more likely to treat Christians like that.
