Coach is Right, Q: David-The Boy Scouts of America Executive Committee unanimously revoked a ban on openly gay scoutmasters. How significant is this development in the culture war?
A: This is extremely significant and dangerous. It is a documentable fact that Gay men are often sexually attracted to adolescents and sometimes boys. They’re getting away with this decision because of the erroneous belief that homosexuality is inborn and immutable. Sexuality is fluid, and yet these people think they’re children aren’t in danger because if it’s inborn their children can’t feel those feelings. I assure you, adolescents’ sexuality is still developing at these ages, and it is common for boys and adolescents to sometimes feel sexually attracted to other boys. Because no one wants to talk about it, they Gay activists have won the day. You will absolutely see, over time, a springing up of male homosexuality within the Boy Scouts and their leaders.

I'm just sitting here thinking of the results of the 'normalization' of perversion on the whole picture. Male gay scoutmasters with a troop full of girls who 'identify' as boys...'Boy' scouts becomes just 'Scouts'? Can't discriminate or mis-identify,can we? Talk about a mess! It's like soup...once you put a bit of feces in the pot, no matter the main ingredients, it becomes s**t soup.
The “Boy” Scouts are it’s pedophile leaders.
Any parent that would allow their son in this organization now is insane...or homo themselves.
I can comment on this, if I may.....
WBill Jr. started in Cub Scouts the year before all this gay nonsense started happening. Our pack was one of the smaller ones in the area, but was pretty active, had 40-50 kids in it.
In the ensuing 3+ years, membership is down by more than 2/3. Other packs that I've talked with are reporting the same kind of numbers. The first recruitment meeting that I went to - for WBill Jr - had several dozen kids attending. I'm in charge of recruiting for the pack, now, and its not unusual to have zero kids show up at the same recruitment meetings.
There's nothing new going on in town....still the same competition (sports, martial arts, video games, whatever) for the kids' time. IMO, there's one thing, and one thing only, that's changed.
In truth, I can't blame parents in the least. I've stayed on for a couple of reasons - WBill Jr. would look at it as a punishment if I pulled him out of the pack. I also feel responsible ... the boys that still attend need a good male role model, and for some of them, the scoutmasters are all they've got.
I can't change things on the national level, but I can on the local level.
Truth be told, it's likely to become a moot point. Unless recruitment turns around (not optimistic), our pack will most likely fold after this year.
My Mission is to remain in Scouting and make it a safe place for another generation, even if membership is shrinking.
Did you know that 11 of the 12 men who walked on the moon were Scouts? What has changed here? Straight men abandoning the organization and the troops and the kids?
Frankly there have ALWAYS been peculiar adult leaders. Now they can be openly perverse. and monitored by vigilant principled adults.
Meanwhile my GS troop will earn service hours and awards this year and is planning and money earning for a trip to England to an international scout gathering in 2 years- my second. They are outstanding role models to many younger kids. They know how to camp ..... and what to do to survive if the doctor is 12 hours away and the power goes out for 3 months.
I stay the course.

I was at an international jamboree in UK last summer
8000 Scouts and Guides
The Girl Guides were a minority (due to lack of female adult Guide leaders and troops) so most of the European Scout (formerly Boy Scout) units are co-ed and their leadership is by older teen Scouts and the adults (men and women) are with them in groups - never alone with the kids. (Face it what kid goes camping to be alone with adults?)
It was a blast- I think that is how we in the USA will go eventually. Now girls can join the BSA (Venture Crew) at 14, I see the age slipping to 12, then perhaps we just go to being “Scouts”. Teen girls only join now if they are into adventure sports, camping or looking for service and leadership experience to bolster their college resumes
As long as the tents still leak, the dumpcakes get eaten out of a community pot, the campfires still burn, the same songs are sung and the same stupid skits are acted - kids will get an experience to remember forever
Home schooling can be done if kids are the priority.

They are obsessed with them in almost all cases. It is a normal part of this abnormal sickness.
You do find a relative handful of adult heterosexual men obsessed with young girls and a relative handful of adult heterosexual women obsessed with young boys, but they are the sick exceptions and not the rule.
Who among us didnt see this one coming a couple years ago?:

...for now.

The surprising thing about trail life USA is how many members, called Trailmen who were not siphoned away from BSA. About 50% of new troops are just that.
Families and churches see the benefit of a masculine, unapologetically Christian outdoor organization for boys, to teach them how to be men that they are starting troops nationwide.
Us more “experienced” leaders realized that pretty quickly and have been developing volunteer led skill and program training for all these new leaders.
When Trail Life USA was announced in September 2013, we had a slogan “Honor the Legacy, Raise the Standard.”
Sadly, BSA lowered their standards so far that Americans have lost their trust. They had a great legacy we honor that.
As a Scoutmaster and founder of our troop, I’ll be honest, there was a grieving process. But we’ve moved on to a far better place.
“Keep your children out of these organizations. Both GSA and BSA will die sooner or later.”
Exactly what has happened to the canadian scouts:
In 1998, Canadian Scouts (CS) decided to allow females, atheists, agnostics, homosexuals, bisexuals, and transsexuals to join the CS. In 1999, they approved the establishment of an all-homosexual troop, which now marches in Canada’s “gay pride” parades. Within five years, scouting membership dropped over 50 percent, many scouting camps and offices were closed, and staff was laid off.
More importantly is the tragic sexual abuse by leaders in scouting.

Thinking they could become more inclusive,
the Boy Scouts of Canada Board of Governors decided in November 1998 to admit females, atheists, agnostics, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transsexuals into troops. Despite that established troops were not even allowed to remain all-male groups, Scouts Canada approved the establishment of the world’s first all-homosexual troop in 1999. The troop marches in homosexual pride parades and loudly symbolizes what Scouts Canada calls its commitment to diversity.
Scouts Canada’s new non-discrimination code reads: “Scouting is a worldwide, multicultural movement. We need to be sensitive to the traditions and beliefs of all people and to avoid words or actions which “put down” anybody.”
And so, in its attempt to include everybody and everything, Scouts Canada is effectively dead.
Budgets have run dry. Troop halls and old campsites sit vacant. Professional staff salaries are severed. Membership is mostly decimated. In the past, membership roles consistently exceeded 300,000. Around the peak in 1965, there were 320,000 Boy Scouts. Today, despite a one third population increase in Canada over four decades and a doubling of the demographic possibilities (with female members), Scouts Canada has dwindled to a puny 130,000 and it is rapidly declining.
Open to all, there is a certain liability that accompanies the mixture of sexes and sexual preferences at Scout Camp. It is no coincidence that Scouts Canada’s costs for liability insurance against sexual molestation claims increased dramatically by 2002 when, lacking adequate finances, Scouts Canada canceled its sex abuse insurance, and with it many “high risk” activities. Without the insurance, a single pedophile could potentially annihilate Scouts Canada forever.

But I need to be a bit of a grammar nazi here:
Membership is mostly decimated.
To decimate means to reduce by 10%. Going from 300,000 members down to 270,000 would be an example of the ranks being decimated.
You would have to decimate the ranks about seven times to get down to 130,000. So the problem is understated by nearly a factor of seven.
I do hope that Trail Life, U.S.A. or other worthy organization can acquire their camps and other assets at bargain prices before BSA finally reaps the bitter harvest of what they have sowed with today's sorry decision.
