Now that would definitely make the hair stand up on your arms if you heard that coming towards you. Much different from the celebratory rebel yell.

Very cool...YouTube has a bunch of these videos. Years ago when I taught my kids about the war I would play these videos and let their imagination run. It’s very intimidating to hear the simulated revel charge.

Makers Mark is gay literally but good quality always has been
Can you expand on the “gay” part?
All I can find is them, and Jim Beam were purchased by the Japanese company that makes Midori.

I guess that could apply, but it wasn’t the first thing I saw when I read the ad.
I thought they might be having a little fun at their expense.
Notice their rainbow has Indigo. The fag rainbow doesn’t.
Also these are hardcore Kentuckians making this stuff. I don’t think the Japanese home office has a lot of say over the wax. They do a Christmas bottle, an Independence Day bottle, and one for UK every year.
The double entendre was well done.

“A high piercing Indian sounding whoop. “
I suspect southerners picked it up from the Indians.
I read an account of the Battle of King’s Mountain in the Revolutionary War that seemed to indicate that the patriot militia was using a rebel yell even then.

I used to drink a occasional bottle of Colonel Lee when I was young and my gut more forgiving.
