I know it is in Canada, but the same thing will be happening here, free speech protection or not.

Other thing... you can tell who you want to not associate based on the goofy fashion eyewear they have chosen.

Just what liberals have in mind for the US.

Most certainly. And for those who say "it can't happen here", just wait until this "microaggression" nonsense kicks into full gear. For instance, speak up about illegal immigration. That's microaggression!

We are not seeing criminal penalties for those who commit "microaggression", yet. But there certainly are other penalties already in place.

It's like being in Brezhnev's Soviet Union. You won't get a bullet to the back of the head. But you will be denounced and shunned for your imagined microaggression. And maybe you'll even lose your job.

We find this unacceptable. But mark my words, in a few generations folks will come to accept this as just part of everyday life.

So these two women tried to get him to dox a third party and he refused.

So they doxed him, and he complained.

And now he's being prosecuted.

George Orwell was wrong.

You don't need to go through the trouble of designing a totalitarian government.

All you need is totalitarian people.

They already call it “hate speech” and are seeking to criminalize it.

...there is no right to free speech in Canada...

There is no Bill of Rights there as we know it.
That’s the way it is historically in former British colonies with Parliamentary government. The monarchy was always concerned with rebellion.
Free speech along with gun ownership can lead to open rebellion.

HRH George III found that out the hard way after his attack at Lexington and the retribution paid to them on the road back to Concord

The main point is that - some only needs to be perceived as threatening then it is. Has nothing to do with the vehicles (be it twitter or facebook or any other media/means)

(excerpt from National Post linked at post #6)

"These are astonishing repercussions given that it’s not alleged he ever threatened either woman (or any other, according to the testimony of the Toronto Police officer, Detective Jeff Bangild, who was in charge) or that he ever sexually harassed them.
...... The criminal harassment charge is rooted in the alleged victim’s perception of the offending conduct.
The statute says if that conduct caused the alleged victims “reasonably, in all the circumstances, to fear for their safety”, that’s good enough."
