I know it is in Canada, but the same thing will be happening here, free speech protection or not.
Other thing... you can tell who you want to not associate based on the goofy fashion eyewear they have chosen.

Most certainly. And for those who say "it can't happen here", just wait until this "microaggression" nonsense kicks into full gear. For instance, speak up about illegal immigration. That's microaggression!
We are not seeing criminal penalties for those who commit "microaggression", yet. But there certainly are other penalties already in place.
It's like being in Brezhnev's Soviet Union. You won't get a bullet to the back of the head. But you will be denounced and shunned for your imagined microaggression. And maybe you'll even lose your job.
We find this unacceptable. But mark my words, in a few generations folks will come to accept this as just part of everyday life.

And now he's being prosecuted.

You don't need to go through the trouble of designing a totalitarian government.
All you need is totalitarian people.
They already call it “hate speech” and are seeking to criminalize it.
So far no one anywhere is in jail for refusing to use twitter, Facebook etc...

There is no Bill of Rights there as we know it.
That’s the way it is historically in former British colonies with Parliamentary government. The monarchy was always concerned with rebellion.
Free speech along with gun ownership can lead to open rebellion.
