“Should have?” If he were president, would he sign the declaration of war or not?

It was an obvious JOKE, a-la Reagan. But the insipid libs report it as a policy statement. This will be a fun campaign.

LA Weekly looks like your alternative type newspapers, no traction for this story.

You have a point, as the U.S. has rarely demonstrated decisive resolve in most conflicts when dealing with evil for the better part of a generation, we have consequently experienced their greater long term affects.

Some would argue longer.

Lincoln once argued the wisdom of education and assimilation of much of the black population, as many of them were not capable of taking care of themselves, and he was afraid they would create what we now know as the “welfare state.” In theory, this might have been the right and more compassionate thing to do for all involved.

It was a volatile subject, and never went forward.

While Mexico is certainly not the only culprit, aside from the direct human cost, the illicit drug trade alone in the U.S. is likely higher than $500 Billion per year in economic terms. Some studies have it at closer to $750 Billion per year.

A portion of this has been and will continue to be paid for on the backs of the tax payers.

The current welfare cost of illegal immigrants is likely $100 to $150 billion higher per year than the value of what they produce. Again, this is looking at the economic cost alone.

While not speaking to the benefit of “legal immigration” the political cost of not dealing with the illegal invasion, and the implicit design by socialist and Marxist in our own government to utilize them in elections, already is killing our once free Republic.

Aside from our own moral freefall, the financial/economic cost of illicit drugs/human trafficking/illegal welfare, the threat of Islam, and the cost in human lives already experienced, the political cost to our country due to the rapid expansion of illegal voting is likely the greatest threat we face.

We cannot survive what is already taking place.

However, while simply marching through Mexico would not be a fix all, we need to deal with this as a real war we must win, or we subject ourselves to a sovereign government and lose everything.

As we already are.

Yeah and we won that war.

As the rules of war dictate, the conquering forces can take over the country they fought against and won.

The USA declined.

Big mistake.

...while we’d conquered the Mexican Army and taken their capitol, conquering the Mexican people and territory would have been an entirely more challenging task.

Good point, but if done correctly it would have been of great benefit to the Mexican people.

Instead of coming in as conquerors, be helpful in helping them build up their country and financial system.

Although there would have still been corruption, the natural resources (oil etc) could be mananged well and Mexico would be a pretty well off country.

As it is now, the corrupt cartel of billionaires is keeping Mexico down by syphoning all the money for themselves.

Right on Jim.
When the population of one country infiltrates into, destroys the native culture, and displaces the voting population of the first we have experienced a hostile takeover. And it definitely appears this is the case and is being directed by the Mexican government.
And aided by those in power here.

Invading illegal alien criminal interloping colonists are NOT immigrants!

Obama has directed his lackeys to accommodate what ever Mexico wants.

I agree Mexico would be economically much better off as part of the USA. However, that’s not to say the Mexican people would agree, a highly relevant point.

Well, the American people DON’T agree to Mexico invading out country.

So the Mexican people would just have to accept it.

They expect us to accept their invasion of the USA.

IF he believes that I think he misunderstands Obama's goals.

He says the Obama is simply stupid, and Trump doesn't assign any evil to Obamas intentions.

I am not so generous.

I never thought I’d see the day where Americans were told to stay away from a part of our country because the foreigners are too dangerous.

Ditto. There are many areas around our southern border that, thanks to government policies, are too dangerous for Americans to enter.

Our OWN country!

Very similar situations in our inner cities also.

There are many areas the police will not even go in to.

Then you have Dearborn, Michigan where there are enclaves of Islamic Sharia Muslims that a "infidel" would not want to enter.

I've got a video of a bus full of "Somali's and other Africans." Taken to a detention center [Victorville, CA] because they need asylum.

Anita Fuentes took the video and the driver agreed that asylum is the "password"

He continues to scare the Left and the RINOs - already using references from folks who "wish to remain anonymous" so they're getting desperate.

The Donald sure is shaking things up - here's hoping he causes a lot of fear on the Left and doesn't mess Cruz's chances up.

I guaran-damn-tee ya, you won’t be on this forum at some point.

Yer right in the face of the site founder, JimRob.

You get yer ass kicked (by me, BTW) in an exchange and you promptly drop it, just to go on to Darksheare, who had not yet kicked yer ass.

Yer a low-intelligence troll.

Yes. I called you unintelligent for a reason. I did so because even a person of average intelligence should have been able to see that I was making a very simple analogy (false wife-beating accusations versus false statement accusations).

Your response was, “He should defend himself against wife beating accusations too!”

That is not the response of an intelligent man. So, despite your clear difficulties, I took the time to explain the concept of the false-accusation-as-political-weapon, and how any acknowledgement of same is a no-win scenario.

Naturally, I expect that the concept is beyond your range of vision or comprehension, but hey. I’m willing to be surprised.

In the meantime, being as you are in direct opposition to JimRob’s position, you won’t probably be here too long.
