I’d like to see the video released as well.
Provided the selector is in auto? Or one that only operates that way?
I did see 14. I didn't see the word "machine" or "machinegun" in the thread it links to, so other than the general proposition that people abuse language, it's not useful to define "machine gun" or "machinegun."
-- SOme people don't know better, should one who does agree with them to make them feel better? --
I'm indifferent on that point. Personally not a big fan of making feel better, and I too am prone to point out misuse of words.
26 U.S.C. S: 5845(b)Not saying that's a technically correct definition, heck a hand grenade is a weapon of mass destruction under US Code. Just saying that the definition of machine gun is not agreed on, and I figured using more precise description (full automatic suppressed rifle) while avoiding the term "machinegun" couldn't hurt. For the purposes of the National Firearms Act the term Machinegun means:
- Any weapon which shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be readily restored to shoot, automatically more than one shot without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger
Man, was I wrong!
Who else besides the 1%er blogger says the feds were there before it started?
This is fun to watch. Broden appears to be a good criminal defense lawyer.
Here is the Don Carlos lawsuit:

Here is Broden’s response to the motion to quash
http://media.graytvinc.com/documents/QuashDonCarlos+response.pdf
Broden takes some shots at Houston attorney Tony Buzbee and his defense of Rick Perry in the motion. That might not be a good idea, Tony is smarter than Broden, Tony is smarter than everybody. If they ever meet in court, which I doubt will ever happen, get the popcorn out.
Putting the civil stuff aside, this “biker” criminal case stinks. Crazy number of people arrested and insane mounts for bail. No due process. The rights of a lot of people have been trampled on. Habeas corpus is nowhere to be found. I cannot believe this has happened in Texas.
Some of the responses are doozie’s this time.
I think it’s Bush’s fault. Which Bush? Pick one.
First, thank you for finding those links.
So if Tony is all that...do you believe him speaking factually (as his factual statement says), when he declares that "thousands of bullet rounds were fired...."
That claim always sounded like hyperbole to me.
Remember, this is the motorcycle gang propaganda website that started the nutter-right echo chamber meme that all nine dead bikers were killed by head shots in the parking lot by a phalanx of police wielding fully automatic machine guns.
There are a couple police releases that if you reed between the lines it shows they were already there.
Do you believe the cops fired 12 rounds and missed every time?
TexasFossil, you’re being trolled. Being hyper nit-pickey about the definition of a particular word is absolutely classic troll behavior. Such tactics are used to side-track discussion away from points that they do not want to be discussed.
Judging from past performance, that's actually possible! LOL.
One could complete a Masters thesis on The Internet Troll - Disinformation, Distortion and Deflection just from the Waco threads.
The rhetoric in a civil complaint is usually wrong on some points. He's not obliged to avoid hyperbole. The civil complaint is "notice" to the defendant, and has to state a claim that a court will recognize and enforce, if plaintiff can produce evidence of the relevant facts.
The number of rounds fired is totally irrelevant to his client's legal claim.
“You are too dumb to be a cat. Call yourself gator-nip man, please, as gators have all the intelligence of a door knob”
Name-calling! What brilliant repartee! Exactly like the “Progressives” who discourse on salon, slate, democratic underground!
And using words like libs do is classic lib behavior.
It is YOU who took the conversation there in disparaging the source that I posted.
So are you cool with cookie cutter probable cause affidavits and $1,000,000 bonds?
