Construction sand is made with rock crushing and screening equipment. Where the equipment is lacking because of lack of demand, a soil-cement-aggregate mix can be properly developed for foundations. Compressed earth blocks can be made and used for walls of two stories or less. New Mexico already has code for that.
The government regulators with their government-linked global corporates and false scarcity propaganda can only read it and weep. The global corporate money spent on sponsoring garbage is wasted.

Oh noes!!! A sand crisis! We’re all gonna die!
There is enough sand in the Arkansas and Canadian River alone for at least hundreds of years I should think.
Just because it is a problem in India (where this article apparently comes from) does not give me the least bit of concern. In fact, I don’t care one whit about India.

Ah geez! we are now running out of sand?!
To: Organic Panic
humans are using it faster than they should WOW. Another thing I need to feel bad about
Fine sand is mixed into "No-Salt" brand (low-sodium "salt") seasoning.

There's no shortage of sand. Global corporate-government interests and political folks are propagandizing fake shortages and regulating to create artificial scarcity. They are claiming that sand is scarce, so they can sit on their Heinies while further hiking prices on materials.
Compressed earth blocks don't require sand, cement, aggregate or freight costs, and they are a good material for building a house. They can be made on site. The high thermal mass can help to make a house cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

She’s a leftard. Leftards believe anything not regulated should be. And if it’s not regulated, should be illegal.

Did a construction bid for the Middle East and was amazed that I had to include importing sand into the cost of the project.
Got quite an education regarding sand while doing that project.
Beach sand, river sand, sandpit sand and the sand found in your yard all have 17 edges on each grain. Desert sand is much finer and is almost round with very few edges. Desert sand is not suitable for use in concrete as it has nothing with which to grab the cement mixture.
