I guess all those people I’ve told to go pound sand over the years have driven demand up.

I really should be ashamed of myself for the previous post.

Ronald Reagan warned us.

There's always George Sand, who wasn't a George, and probably didn't have much sand either

among other things, she was Frederic Chopin's mistress

Reminds me of that old joke President Reagan used to tell. Put the collectivists in charge of the Sahara Desert and it will only be a matter of time before they have a sand shortage.

Sand is necessary for fracking - hence it needs to be banned.

“Will there be a Middle Eastern sand cartel?”

Doubtful!. Middle Eastern sand is generally not suitable for construction projects. Alot, not all, is the consistency of talcum powder. Basically, it is worn out from blowing around. Many of the oil tankers used to load sand for the return trip to Arab countries. I’d like to meet the guy who figured out he could sell sand to the Arabs. Salesman of the Year award.....red

Easy fix:
Open more colleges and universities. College students are the most efficient method for turning glass back into sand via broken beer/liquor bottles.
