Officials are expecting up to 350,000 people at the African American Festival this weekend in Baltimore.

The festival is taking place Saturday and Sunday at the Camden Yards Sports Complex. The free event will include music, cultural exhibits, contests, health screenings and children's activities....

My hubby and I went to one in Atlanta years ago in ‘93. It was great and the food was awesome. Wouldn’t be caught dead at one with the atmosphere in our country right now.

i’m so sick of the african-american, irish-american, mexican-american, italian-american, etc. mentality... why can’t we all just be americans?

of course, i have some fondness for the cultures that my ancestors came from, but i’ve never considered myself anything but american.
