Bill Nye is pretty sure that the Texas storm was caused by global warming
Houston Science Examiner ^ | May 27, 2015 | Mark R. Whittington

Bill Nye, who once called himself “the science guy,” took advantage of the torrential rains that hit Houston and the surrounding area to get up on the global warming – aka climate change – hobby horse. Tuesday, he tweeted, “Billion$$ in damage in Texas & Oklahoma. Still no weather-caster may utter the phrase Climate Change.” Of course meteorologists, unlike Nye, have spent their careers studying weather and its underlining causes. For a more scientifically accurate explanation of what caused the storms, read the Houston Chronicle’s excellent and fact based analysis.

His show was fun. He was in his element.

Now he’s not. Watch his vedeos. He seems like a very angry and unhappy man. He also comes across as “arrogantly ignorant”.

Nye is an entertainer, not a scientist.

I blame liberal property developers and their socialist notions of high density “smart growth” that leaves no grass in yards for drainage to the water table and latino yard crews who blow grass clippings into the gutter where they become sludge that clog up sewage systems.

So, basically, you’re just here to criticize people no matter what they post or how they post it?

Your schtick is getting a little old.

They are chicken littles, either freaking out about naturally occurring weather patterns, or dishonest crooks using hysteria to bring about radical industrial and societal change.

Notice that he calls himself a "science guy" and not a scientist, which he isn't. His background is in engineering, and comedy.

He's also not very bright, having misquoted the Constitution in an effort to brand "science deniers" as unpatriotic.

If the temperature continues to follow this trend for the rest of the year, it’ll be over 300 degrees by December!

Not people.. bloggers. And I have other functions as well.

Your schtick is getting a little old.

What would you suggest to improve my "schtick"?

When it supports the Hive Meme it’s “Climate Change”.
When it contradicts it it’s “Weather”.

I’m pretty sure he thinks the TX drought was caused by global warming too. Convenient.

I mean, there was never floods or droughts before in human history. /sarc

Strange, just a year ago, it was this same 'cause' that 'aggrevated' the Texas & Oklahoma multi-year drought. To quote from a 2014 Climate Central (believer site) article concerning the Texas drought;

AUSTIN, Texas — Texans learned three years ago what exceptional drought possibly aggravated by climate change looks like: 4 million charred acres of land, thousands of burned homes and water supply reservoirs dry or draining fast.

So what is it, Science Guy? The problem is that we still do not know enough and the advocates make FOOLS OF THEMSELVES by claiming everything BAD is caused by Climate change. Models do not match actual conditions, climate is confused for weather and vice-versa, yet we citizens are told it is settled science, we need to pay for carbon reduction and increased regulations and let the superior beings of the left continue to lead us by our noses!

Well he is the “Science guy” and I’m just an ignorant redneck who believes boys and girls are different because of a tiny noseeum called an X or Y Chromosome.

Reminds me of what they said about Charlie Chaplain:

"Charlie's problem is that he thinks--he thinks."
