Where have you been? Have you never read anything about this behavior before?
All the psychological literature spells out deviant behavior and NO CURE. It would be a far less time consuming task to try to find even one reputable source that would portray what is described in the police report as a mere “phase” of childhood or a treatable disorder.
Search the web and you can get a variety of opinion as to source of deviance but no variation in the abnormality of such behavior or its incurable, damaging nature.
Rather than cite studies to look up, I’ll use a recent distillation that captures the gist of such studies.
“ Like many forms of sexual deviance, pedophilia once was thought to stem from psychological influences early in life. Now, many experts view it as a sexual orientation as immutable as heterosexuality or homosexuality. It is a deep-rooted predisposition limited almost entirely to men that becomes clear during puberty and does not change.”

“Not all pedophiles molest children. Nor are all child molesters pedophiles. Studies show that about half of all molesters are not sexually attracted to their victims. They often have personality disorders or violent streaks, and their victims are typically family members.”

Look at prison data. Look at psychological studies. They portray deviant behavior emerging at puberty and remaining resilient against treatment. Pedophilia or personality disorder - there’s no known cure. And Josh wasn’t treated anyway.
I don’t think predisposition is as a big a factor as I think you think it is. You know since psychology has been such an exact science and all normalizing homosexuality so we get people saying things like We can be proud that the gay movement has been home to the few voices who have had the courage to say out loud that children are naturally sexual and deserve the right to sexual expression with whoever they choose Instead of fearing being labeled pedophiles, we must proudly proclaim that sex is good, including childrens sexuality we must do it for the childrens sake..
No thank you. I’ll side with the confessing, repentant Josh Duggar.
