The above picture is photo-shopped, and was posted as a clever joke. The man in the "blue polo shirt" is actually a photo-shopped image of Jerry Miculek, one of the most extraordinary pistol shots of all time. As Miculek is a gun culture icon, the joke was quickly exposed, but it was highly regarded. Here is the original wording with the picture: From ar15.com, page 51:
My sources on the Deep Web came across this pic. It was taken shortly after the shooting. The guy in the blue polo shirt with the crazy leg rig is said to be the guy who shot the two terrorists, a 42 year police veteran named Benjamin Garrison. With that bit of humor out of the way, the coverage of the event shows how responsive and accurate the Internet tends to be to breaking events. Here is a sequence of posts. From ar15.com: 8:03:

NOTHING ON FNC, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS...
But Al Jeezera just ran it...and OAN
Showing up on ISIS twitter feeds too...
CNN and Fox are on it.Notice that it was over an hour before the networks really got involved.
Security officer that was shot last night enjoyed his day off today playing golf. He is in good spirits about the ordeal. I spoke to his daughter last night and it was a flesh wound, in and out. No serious damage of any kind... very lucky.A lot of people have been very curious about how bad that wound was, so this is welcome information.
Gov. Abbott called both Security officer and GPD officer today to express his gratitude to both. That post is confirmed with a press release from Governor Abbott's office.
I can confirm it was a Glock 21 used. At least one mag used and 2 head shots. To sum up, credible rumors that the security officer (Bruce Joiner, from both the ar15.com thread and Governor Abbott's press release) is recovering well, with little permanent effect; that Governor Abbott called the Garland officers to express thanks (confirmed); and that the officer doing the shooting was using a Glock model 21 (Glock model 21s are only made in .45 ACP caliber).
Apparently the msm is reporting a glock .40 which is incorrect.
He also lobbed a stack of 8 clays and dusted them all before they hit the ground.
That’s why they were called the “Fritz” helmet.
Yes I know the guy. I have seen him on TV a few times too. He shoots a Benelli semi-auto with an extended magazine.
Oddly, it looks like he is shooting an old Remington automatic in .22WRF (also called .22 Remington special) in his rifle shooting. I can’t recall the model off hand but remember it.
I can’t believe he does not use a .22LR. Actually he probably does use a .22LR but it sure looks like an old .22WRF I have seen years ago.
ahaha I was being somewhat sarcastic, I couldnt imagine anyone who could hit both aspirins ....with one bullet...
10 clays auto, 9 clays pump. Holy cow. Also sad to just now learn of his death.
lets hope he had offspring who shared his love of shooting
I thought I was awesome just AK’ing 2 Pepsi bottles flying through the air. Felt like a kid with a squirt gun after seeing his exhibition.
some guys just have the whole thing imprinted directly on their DNA!
My nephews and I tried to hit pennies out of the air but between recoil and muzzle flash, couldn’t tell. Only rifle I own is a custom AK. My German P38 is not about to do that.
even quarters,,,are pretty tiny.....pennies? I dunno...
Seth wanted to use dimes. We found all the pennies in the sand and none were touched. I thought I could do it but my scope is high enough to see my irons underneath. The sight plane and range kept us from hitting. If I could zero it proper at that range, we might have done something.
Here’s a tip to finding an accurate AK. Make sure the barrel is centered PERFECTLY into the trunnion. Make sure no rivets in that area are sunk in too deep resulting in an inward bulge. Also a 90 degree gas tap makes it shoot straighter as opposed to a 45 degree tap for some magical reason I don’t really understand. I repurposed that old AK into a poor mans DMR, does 4.5 inches at 200 yards. Never shot at anything further than that with it.
I always wondered what it could do with high quality ammo.
I was told by a Marine that the “helmet” was nicknamed at one time a “Schultz” ( ; )
but...”I know nothing...nothing !”
