I share your thoughts and frustration and have struggled to explain leftists and I can only come to one conclusion; the devil is in their hearts. It’s happening all over the world at a hurried pace; people are choosing light or darkness, truth or lies, good or evil. GOD will prevail!

After all, in a nation predicated upon freedom, why would any person, group or state want to live under the auspices of a counter-intuitive ideology they inherently despise?

Conservatives are willing to let the statists go their own way.

But the statists demand that everyone be subjugated to their ideology.

People get the government that they deserve.

In the end, ALL governments collapse, and all civilizations fall.

Within the next few centuries, maybe a millenium at the most, the world will be where it was during the dark ages, or at the peak of some as unforeseen empire. Or we all may be dead, due to the sheer folly of man.

Either way, nothing lasts forever, and the only consistent thing about time is change.

” I truly believe it may only be matter of time, if not in our best interests, before states agreed to (or peacefully forced) an amicable split; albeit a temporary or long-term separation.”

Its not my first choice but I definitely think that if the patriotic Americans don’t take back control of the Federal govt then we will see the states start to go their own way in collectives.

The level of vitriol in this country is so acidic that it cannot be resolved by elections.

. . . those states that are irrevocably committed to the common sense principles of our nation’s founding . . .

Identify and test the citizens who are committed to these things, and make this a legal qualification for pulling the levers of self government, i.e. voting. Ban the rest from the voting booth until such time as they prove themselves to be committed to those principles, beginning with the principle that truth exists and is both apprehensible and applicable in any society that expects to survive, let alone thrive.

I suggest looking at this on a more basic level. Throughout history we can see that given his druthers and given time, Caesar Has always descended to the lowest moral level possible. Calgula and Nero are more the rule than the exception. So you want to replace the current caesar with a new and improved caesar?

You might want to rethink that approach.

A union of states that was held together by a few common ideas falls apart when those ideas are no longer common. Pretty much a logical occurrence.

Sadly, I agree we are on borrowed time, but there is hope.
I do NOT believe that politicians will clean up the mess THEY made on their own. I do NOT believe the answer lies in the vote. Mark Twain once said that if it (voting) were really important, they would not let us do it.
Do they send the police out to monitor voting? Nope. Not important.
They do send out the police during demonstrations and peaceful assemblages. The politicians know that if it gets too big, they can not control it. Look at the Tea Party. It caused a minor revolt in the Republican Party which continues today. The People put down the TV remote, got off their butts and became involved.
The problem is that We the People want instant results. The Progressives have been chipping away for the last 50 years. They have been patient, and their patience is paying off.
They have been the only people speaking out.
The Founders gave us an escape clause because I believe they foresaw what is happening. I refer to an Article Five Convention as described in Mark Levin’s book (The Liberty Amendments). To date, laws have only been passed by the House - Senate - President route. The second method, to date unused, is to call a convention of States. That move is on now.
Those of us that do not believe the country is going in the right direction need to get more involved. Do NOT just vote (Still important). Get involved. Go to town hall meetings. Show up when your representatives are in town. Take a friend. Take two. It does not matter if they speak up. Just the bodies sends the message. Even better if they do speak up.
From polls, 75% +/- think term limits for Congress are required. That is a GREAT starting point. Congress will never pass that. Only we can take back the Country and return the US to it’s place of prominence on the World stage.
Like everything that matters, it starts small, and grows into something much larger. The time is NOW.
