A lot of progress has been made in surgeries and health care that keeps high priced athletes on the playing field, knee surgeries in particular. Those trickle down to the rest of us.

Technology is advancing at an exponential rate IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR(PRIVATE BUSINESSES) not because of the government but in spite of it (witness the Internet flourished because of no government regulation which now will be ruined because of heavy government (FCC) regulation)

Government is a cancer. The only thing it might be needed for is army,courts and border control.Abolish the FCC(regulating the Internet), IRS(oppressing conservatives), EPA(global warming), FDA,HUD, NASA(global warming hoax), NOAA (global warming hoax) government schools, DHS, NSA(spying on us) etc.

Technology is advancing at an exponential rate. And that is at high tech and cutting edge private companies and start ups not in government schools or govenrnent housing projects. The fact that technology is advancing so rapidly shows everyone that government is not needed for anything as anything you could ever want or need will be produced in the free market if you are willing to work hard and save money to have money to buy it if you wish.

The day before yesterday, the question about electric cars was: “Will they ever be good enough to really compete with gasoline-powered automobiles?”

And the answer is still; "No."

For electric cars to supplant gasoline-powered automobiles they must be better in most significant ways. So far, they aren't. Should a battery breakthrough occur, that will change. And it may be happening.
